About Dr. Mayer Teles
Dr. Mayer Teles, a Doctor of Optometry (OD) graduate of Southern College of Optometry, brought his vast knowledge and years of experience in primary family vision care to Looking Glass Optical in 1995. Dr. Teles uses the latest technology and advanced techniques to provide you and your family with comprehensive eye care. He has successfully fitted virtually every kind of contact lens available. His practice currently utilizes high-technology equipment for the assessment and treatment of both vision and eye-health issues. Patient education—and taking the time to communicate with his patients—are as important to him as the exam itself. You’ll leave his exam chair with a thorough understanding of your eyes and, most likely, stories about his latest tennis game and trip to a national park. Dr. Teles is licensed with the highest level of certification in the state of Maryland.

I've been going to Dr. Teles for a very long time. He saved my eyesight a few years ago when I ripped the cornea in my left eye. He knew just what to do for my eye. And it was as good as new within a week. He's very informative about what he's doing and shows you how things work. Love, love, love this Dr.

Dr. Teles was very friendly. I hadn't been to an eye doctor in years so he ran several tests and scans to get my baseline and explained everything as he was doing it and the results after they were done. I never felt rushed and Dr. Teles spent a lot of time with me during the appointment going over everything. I will definitely be going back!
