What should a new client know about working with you?

A few things to know before we meet: I work with children ages 5 through young adulthood, and I see parents for coaching as well. My practice is self-pay, and I provide detailed superbills for families seeking out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance. For therapy, sessions are typically weekly or biweekly and focused on building real skills — not just talking through problems. For evaluations, the process is more intensive: it involves multiple appointments, standardized testing, and a detailed written report with specific recommendations for school and home. I'll walk you through exactly what to expect when we connect. I'm direct, warm, and genuinely invested in your family's outcomes. I'll always tell you what I'm seeing and give you something useful to do with it.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

After you book, I'll reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation so we can make sure we're a good fit before your first appointment. From there, new therapy clients start with an intake session where we talk through your child's history, current concerns, and goals. Evaluation clients go through a more structured intake process, followed by a multi-session testing battery and a feedback meeting where we review findings together. I use SimplePractice for scheduling, intake paperwork, and secure communication — you'll get everything you need digitally before your first visit. My goal is to make the process as clear and low-stress as possible, because you've probably already done a lot of work just to get here.
