About Dr. Megan Balliet

Dr. Megan Balliet is originally from Sylvan Beach, a small town in upstate New York. She is a podiatrist who is board-certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. With a background in public health, she strongly values the importance of patient education and active collaboration with other healthcare specialties to produce positive outcomes for her patients. Dr. Balliet received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. She has a Master of Public Health from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology & Society from Cornell University, where she competed in both track & field and cross country for four years. Dr. Balliet completed her residency training in podiatric medicine and reconstructive and rearfoot surgery at St. Luke’s University Health Network near Philadelphia, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. Prior to joining BAFC, she worked in private practice and was an attending physician at St. Luke’s, where she provided inpatient services, worked in its wound management centers, and trained residents and students on surgical skills and patient care. Dr. Balliet enjoys the challenge of treating a wide range of foot and ankle pathologies with both conservative and surgical measures. Areas of particular interest include advanced wound healing, sports injuries, bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, fractures, and dermatologic conditions. She enjoys long-distance running and has completed many Boston Marathons as a qualified participant. In her free time, she likes to hike and ski with her husband and visit her family in Colorado.
