About Dr. Melissa Pongratz

She is dedicated to delivering comprehensive eye care to her patients. Education and Medical Training Dr. Pongratz grew up in Fort Worth, TX, and graduated cum laude from Oklahoma State University. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree magna cum laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She completed her residency at the Eye Center of Texas in Houston, focusing on ocular disease and surgical co-management. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Pongratz. She’s kind, very thorough, takes time to explain and help figure out what steps to take if there’s a problem. I’ve seen several doctors in this practice and she’s at the top!

Dr. Pongrantz and her staff took good care of me. Dr. Pongratz answered all my questions regarding cataract surgery. Her staff was very patient with me when scheduling the upcoming appointments.

Dr Pongratz does not only have a professional attitude but she cares about her patients. A quality that is rare in my opinion. She is working within my means to manage my condition. She has goals in mind to help me in the long term. She is friendly and kind.

Dr. Pongratz, Yesterday, I saw Dr. Pongratz for a follow-up on my eye pressure. She said everything was fine, and I will be seeing her again in May for a routine eye exam. Dr. Pongratz informed me that she can also assist me if I develop an eye infection. I will use her for all my eye-related needs. She is a very friendly doctor and I would highly recommend her.
