About Dr. Meredith W Locklear

Meredith Watson-Locklear, MD, is a board-certified OB-GYN physician in practice with Orlando Health Physician Associates at Avalon Park. After completing a bachelor of science in biological engineering at North Carolina State University, Dr. Watson-Locklear earned her medical degree from Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. She went on to complete an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She served as co-chief resident of obstetrics and gynecology and was recognized with an award as "Best Teaching Resident." Before joining Orlando Health, Dr. Watson-Locklear worked at several women’s healthcare clinics in North Carolina over a span of nine years. Dr. Watson-Locklear has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecology and is certified in da Vinci robotic surgery. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Waited an hour past my appointment time. Waited an additional 20 minutes because their printer broke while I was waiting for a prescription for blood work. The doctor was great but the wait time was terrible.

Dr Watson-Loklear is wonderful! I got established with her in the fall of 2021 with a semi complicated uterus and a EIN diagnosis from a previous provider/company where I moved from- she took detailed notes, looked over all my past and recent medical history, and we came up with a new plan to do another Surgery ( with Dr Seawerd who is also phenomenal), remove my IUD and see what happens...today I'm pleased to say I'm in my first Trimester and my first Pregnancy appointment with Dr Watson-Locklear was nothing shy of informative, and calming. She answered all the questions my Husband and I had and was so happy to see us back in her office with a positive pregnancy test! My next appointment is in July and I can't wait for our Doctor/Patient relationship to continue to bloom! Thanks for having such amazing and caring Providers Orlando Health :)
I love Dr. Watson and her staff! I just wish they could do blood draws and ultrasounds in the office, as the lab and imaging center downstairs always have an extremely long wait and it's hard to coordinate testing and follow up appointments between downstairs and the office.
Dr Meredith Watson-Locklear was well-prepared for my appointment, had looked at my medical history and had the information for my treatment. One of the best medical visits I have had. Afterwards, I had questions about my prescription and an internal referral and her nurse, Liz, took care of this for me. Liz called me back to make sure I knew it was taken care of.
Dr Meredith Watson-Locklear is awesome! She moved offices and I drive an hour to see her each year. I'd drive farther if I needed to...she is wonderful!
