Getting to know Dr. Miakish Randall

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has experience working with various populations and I have a passion for helping others find how to create a more fulfilling life for themselves. I want to work with patients who would like to learn more about the disorders that are impacting them and ways to operate despite having a disorder, as they are people first.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My ideal patient is open to feedback, has a willingness to set goals, and is ready to take the first steps toward their own mental health journey. I operate from a person-first model that will help you better empower yourself to understand how stressors, illness, relationships, work, etc are impacting how you see yourself and help you find your way back to you. I consider a holistic approach to therapy as well, and I have a special heart for veterans and cultural diversity. I invite patients to reach out to me to better understand themselves and the world around them.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When you book through ZocDoc with me, you will receive an email from Headway as I use them for billing and practice management. You will also receive a welcome email from Headway to collect payment info/insurance and consent/intake forms. I start our first session by getting to know you better through a collaborative intake. Then, we explore how your particular issue is impacting you. We (you and me) begin to evaluate what your treatment goals are and how I can help you best meet those goals. I provide insight on what I believe to be any possible diagnoses that apply, and we discuss modes of therapy I will be using and I will discuss course of treatment.

Headway processes all of my billing for patients. When you book through ZocDoc with me, you will receive an email from Headway as I use them for billing and practice management. You will also receive a welcome email from Headway to collect payment info/insurance and consent/intake forms. I will check with Headway to ensure that your insurance is in-network, and if it is not, you will be asked to cancel your appointment to avoid unnecessary fees. Please note that while you will receive no cancellation fee if you cancel your appointment 24 hours prior to the appointment time, Headway will assess a $125 fee if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time or no show. So to avoid any additional fees, please cancel prior to 24 hours of the appointment time. I practice only within the State of Florida at this time (despite being virtual). Any patient bookings made with patients outside of the State of Florida will be asked to cancel their appointments.
