*About Dr. Michael*
Michael Truong, MD graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his internship at UCLA. He has been serving patients as a primary care doctor in Orange County since 2018. Besides helping optimize a patient’s health, Dr. Michael’s professional interest includes chronic pain management. He is especially motivated in helping patients develop a systematic pain management plan that does not rely on narcotic medications. Languages spoken include English and some Cantonese. Our full-time team-members are also fluent in Spanish.

Staff attentive, office clean, doctor on time. Doctor both listens and answered my questions well & with eye contact.
That said, I’m lucky to be healthy at 74.
I recommend him to anyone who is in need of a doctor. ??

This was a very positive experience. The staff was friendly, helpful, and polite. I had never heard of Zocdoc before and was skeptical. The doctor listened patiently to me and he asked questions that showed he was thinking about the future of my treatment program. I can see where this approach is welcome by those of us who are over 70; those of us that have more than one or two issues. These people and this provider understand over 70 there needs to be a program that covers many aspects of a person's health care needs. I honestly feel relieved, I have found the right doctor. A doctor that wants to help me connect all the dots. Thank you for the opportunity to write about this care system.

I was 1000% satisfied with every aspect of my appointment with Dr. Michael Truong. I had avoided seeing a doctor for quite a while, so I was a bit nervous, but he made me feel comfortable. We discussed what referrals he would make and what lab tests and scans, etc. I would do. I felt like a full participant in my medical care. He had a warm, friendly, approachable manner. I suffer from chronic back pain and I have tried numerous treatments over the years to alleviate my discomfort. While epidural injections provided some relief, they were often accompanied by unwanted side effects - mainly leaving me feeling drowsy and sluggish throughout the day. That's why I am so grateful for Dr. Michael's expertise in trigger point injections, which have proven to be an effective and much less invasive alternative to traditional epidural procedures. Plus he is in-network for my Cigna health insurance which made my visit so affordable compared to the epidural procedures. Dr. Michael's injections has significantly improved my quality of life by providing consistent, lasting relief from my back pain without the need for daily medications. I would recommend this doctor for pain problems.

Seen Dr. Michael for about 3 times for vitamin infusion therapy. For me it's an easy energy boost during the hectic/stressful seasons at work as a Project Manger. I can confidently say that the therapy program with this doctor makes a meaningful difference, which for me tells me that the quality of the vitamins are quite good.
I've actually tried several infusion places around OC but found a home with Dr. Michael. He ( a doctor! ) personally administers the IV himself and I can tell that he is quite skilled by the way he handles the needle. Plus his "poke" doesn't really hurt, literally painless the vast majority of times. These infusions are not covered by health insurance, so I pay for it out of pocket as a treat for myself. I just double up this "treat" to help me with performance at work during the most stressful periods we get.

I recently had an emergency room visit that left me feeling confused and frustrated. My HMO insurance assigned me to see Dr. Truong afterward, and he was able to provide me with the attention I needed to feel better. During my appointment, he took the time to listen to my frustrations and decipher all this paperwork from the ER. He thoroughly explained everything to me with in a normal and casual way which helped me understand what was happening to my body. Thanks to Dr. Truong, I now have a better understanding of what's going on with my health, what to look out for, and the practical actions I needed to make moving forward. I highly recommend this doctor to anyone in my situation. I was blown away that this quality of doctor takes HMO insurance, IMO probably be cause he is just starting off his own medical practice as he is on the younger side.

I'm a HMO patient, I appreciate having access to Dr. Michael's clinic. They are always responsive to my needs and ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner. Simple matters are often addressed through the phone with Dr. Truong, which is both convenient and efficient. I also appreciate Dr. Michael's attentiveness during our in-person appointments - he really listens to my concerns by letting me talk and then takes the time to address things properly. Overall, I think Dr. Michael's clinic has been a positive force in my life. I think the thing that I appreciate most about him is that he communicates very well, either by listening to me, or explaining to me what he's going to do or how things work, and even helps me with stuff over the phone. Wonderful dr. and wonderful staff.

I can walk without my cane again! I can't believe I've been dealing with my knee pain for this many years without getting a doctor's opinion.
My neighbor recommended that I get a knee injection from this doctor. The doctor was happy to oblige but he went over the condition with me first and gave me a gameplan on how this problem is usually assessed and treated. In the end I stuck with my original plan and went straight for the injection. I can tell he's very skilled by how he handles the needle and the slightest of pain I felt. The only thing I did differently was to get an MRI based on the doctor's recommendations. Injection only worked partially. In the end, Dr. Michael did another procedure to drain yellow fluid from my knee. My knee feels great now. It's such a drastic improvement from such a simple procedure, I can walk normal again!
