About Dr. Michelle Trandai
Dr. Trandai grew up in Chicago and attended Loyola University Chicago, where she earned her bachelor's degree. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Joseph Hospital, where she also served as chief resident. She is a board-certified OB-GYN.
She is married with two children. She has experienced childbirth personally, having had one normal vaginal delivery and one C-section. This personal experience fuels her goal to always optimize her patients’ chances for a normal vaginal delivery. It comes as no surprise that she has one of the lowest C-section rates in the country.
Her philosophy toward gynecologic surgery is conservative, meaning she only performs surgery after exhausting all non-surgical options. She has a great bedside manner and always puts her patients at ease during their often-dreaded PAP and pelvic exams.
Her office is located on Broadway, near the intersection of Bryn Mawr and Broadway, easily accessible via bus number 36 and the Red Line train. She is one of the few OB-GYNs who offers Sunday appointments in addition to weekdays, to better serve her patients.
