Tell us what makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider.
I believe in changing lives and working on key prevention to allow the individuals I treat to live better and fuller lives. Seeing new advances that allow us to reach a wider population with limited access and to bridge healthcare disparities is a big driver for me!
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
In my opinion, the role of the PCP is to work on the 4 pillars of health (Nutrition, Movement, Sleep, Connection) for each patient and to tailor their management to optimize each particular category as well as possible. My goal is to empower you to be in control of your life and mental health.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy traveling internationally, dancing Brazilian zouk among other Latin dances, and trying out new cultural cuisines everywhere. Dance is a big part of my life now and I encourage everyone to try it consistently.

The doctor profile said they accept athena insurance but after I received my bill and checked with athena insurance , I found out the doctor are out of athena network. Their website on zocdoc is really misleading and should remove athena insurance from their website.

Dr. Yang was very cold and not friendly in any way. I understand this is an appointment over Zoom, but regardless of the format of the appointment, if it's hard for the doctors to communicate over the computer, it is just as hard and inconvenient, if not more so, for the patient to explain their issues. He did not even say hi, was super cold and really distant and disinterested, and it seemed as though he really disliked spending his time taking appointments. He rushed through the entire thing and logged answers for things that weren't asked. Truly did not match the attitude in his profile picture. Would not recommend an appointment with Dr. Yang.

Saw him as a primary care doc for medication refill. He didn’t refill my medications, told me to go find a different PCP to see in person, overcharged me, didn’t bill my insurance correctly, and left me with a huge bill and no help provided. Absolute waste of my time and money.

I believe he answered the call with “hi”. No introduction like “nice to meet you I’m…”I literally thought “is this the doctor? Or some random guy?” Stared down most of the call, absolutely uninterested and wanted to get off the call immediately and not answer any questions. I made an appointment with someone else the same day, who ended up getting me a referral right then and there and answered everything no problem. If you are in a lot of pain and want to be looked at like a person please just see anyone else.
