Dr. Mutahir Abidi is a board-certified rheumatologist with more than 15 years of experience treating patients with joint pain, inflammatory arthritis, and autoimmune conditions. At the Arthritis Institute, he focuses on diagnosing and treating arthritis, osteoporosis, and autoimmune diseases that affect the joints, muscles, and immune system.
He earned his medical degree from Ross University in 2000 and completed his residency and fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital. Since opening the Arthritis Institute in 2005, his approach has been centered on personalized arthritis care based on each patient’s symptoms and diagnosis.

Okay, my initial visit with this doctor was great, I was super hopeful it would guide me to a better understanding of what was going on… I’m on the younger side, so rightfully almost everyone there made the joke that I have no reason to be there. They drew my blood, and my blood work showed muscle breakdown in my bloood but on a lower scale so I didn’t think much of it. I tried to called the office to discuss the results and I received voicemail, and never got a call back. Two weeks later I had stronger signs and symptoms of rhabdomyolysis. I called the office again to further discuss results because now I was frightened. I received voicemail and left a message. This lack of communication really upset me. All in all, the doctor and staff were polite and lovely , and this lack of communication put a dent in my experience as nothing came further from my initial visit.

Very little wait time. Dr. was extremely cordial and informative. I would highly recommend him. We were struggling to get an appointment locally for a rheumatologist in my local area and couldn't get an appointment for at least 6 months. We drove 45 min. to see Dr. Abidi. I went to ZocDoc and was able to get an appt. with Dr. Abide within a few days. It was so easy to go online and pick an appt. time.
