About Dr. Naga Sai Venkata Hanumantha Rao Madhavapeddi

I moved to the US from India as a 21 year old to pursue a graduate degree in Computer Science from Clemson University. I then moved to the DFW area in 2004 and have been here since! I initially worked as a software engineer and about 3 years into my career, I got injured while playing Cricket (a game I love) and underwent surgery and rehabilitation. That was when I realized a career in medicine and the ability to help others would give me the personal satisfaction that I was seeking in my professional life. After 4 years of juggling a full time job and pre-med class work, I was beyond ecstatic when I got into the hometown medical school at UT Southwestern. While taking care of active individuals was always at the back of my mind, specializing in family medicine and having a chance to take care of almost any problem that walks into the office piqued my interest. I matched into residency in family medicine at JPS in Fort Worth and stayed there for additional fellowship training in Sports Medicine. My training and work experience have allowed me to understand the latest advances in the management of common and rare musculoskeletal conditions. It has also given me the ability to quickly identify which issues can be treated conservatively using non-operative techniques and those that will need surgical interventions. My goal is to listen to you and provide you with all options for your musculoskeletal needs. Not every person is a candidate for surgery, and I see plenty of patients who do not prefer surgery even if they are a good candidate. You can be assured that I will always have an honest conversation and provide you with the best options to getting back to a healthy and active lifestyle. Cricket has played a big part in my life and is also a reason why I am in Medicine. I have continued to stay connected with the game and work with cricketers in the area.
