About Dr. Nancy Lebowitz
Please note our office does not participate with any of the exchange plans offered through Blue Cross and Blue Shield. We also do not participate in Medicaid or Medicare, though patients may choose to be seen out of network. We do not accept Blue Access and only accept BCBS PPOs and EPOs.
Dr. Lebowitz does NOT insert IUDs or Nexplanon, though she can refer patients to someone who does. She does remove IUDs.
Noted physician Dr. Nancy B. Lebowitz is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a clinical instructor in Cornell Medical Center's Department of OB-GYN. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center. She specializes in preventive gynecology, hormone replacement therapy (including bio-identical hormone pellet insertions), and the diagnosis and treatment of human papilloma virus and attendant cervical dysplasia. Dr. Lebowitz is also skilled in the use of bioidentical hormones and anti-aging therapies. She treats women who experience significant weight gain with antidepressants.
Dr. Lebowitz has served as a press spokesperson for two gynecologically related products, Ortho Options and Monistat, and has been quoted in Glamour, Self, Marie Claire, Mademoiselle, Cosmopolitan, Ladies' Home Journal, Shape, and Jump. Now celebrating her 27th year in private practice, she manages a so-called destination practice, meaning she is sought out by patients from around the world. At her practice in New York City, Dr. Lebowitz is known for her diagnostic skills and for consistently staying at the leading edge of gynecological advances. She is committed to providing extraordinary service and excellence in clinical care. She and her office staff are absolutely lovely. If you are going for your annual she is fabulous. However, she is not able to do any tests or bloodwork in office. She cannot even send in a prescription electronically. So there’s a lot of running around everywhere to get anything done. Unfortunately for me I find the inconveniences to be too much.
