Getting to know Dr. Natasha Bailen

Hello and welcome! I specialize in evidence-based treatments for OCD and anxiety disorders (e.g., agoraphobia, panic, phobias, generalized anxiety). I also treat hair-pulling, skin-picking, depression, and perfectionism, and provide skills to help regulate difficult emotions. Outside of my private practice, I am also a faculty member, clinician, and researcher at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Anxiety and fear can limit our lives in a number of ways, leading us to withdraw from people and activities we care about. I use cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy, the gold standard treatment for anxiety, OCD, and related disorders, to help you develop the skills necessary to cope with your symptoms and build a life worth living.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I provide a free 15-minute phone consultation so that we can see if we are a good fit. As soon as you make a booking with me, I will reach out so I can hear what's bringing you into treatment and tell you a little bit about my approach.
