My encounters with Dr. Babayeva have been very pleasant and she is a knowlegeable and competent professional. She has diagnosed and treated my complaints such that I have gained complete confidence in her medical capabilities. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking an intelligent, well informed and personable family physician.

Going to the doctors office isn't usually much fun. All of the wait time, people who work have no idea of when the appointment was taken. However going to Cohen medical and meeting with doctor Natela Babayeva has changed my perspective in going to the doctors. Dr. Natela Babayeva is very professional in handling her time and was very efficient in treating me as her patient. Usually I go to the doctors office last minute, but once I went to
Cohen medical and met with Dr. Natela Babayeva I realized that going to the doctors shouldn't be a chore, but more as a way to take care of my health. Although her practice is small, she is one of the finest doctors that I have ever been to, and I would recommend anyone who is looking for a primary care doctor to seek her out and make an appointment right away.

December 22, 2014Initials hidden
This was literally the most awful experience I have ever had with any doctor's office. My original appointment was changed the day before by the receptionist claiming zocdoc had incorrect times listed on the site which is how I made my appointment. I arrived at 4:50 for my 5:15 appointment in which I had spent the time filling out all of the paperwork days prior on zocdoc. They said they had nothing so I sat & filled out a stack of paperwork again. Then I waited TWO HOURS to be seen. When I finally went into the room, the doctor was still attending to other patients & I sat in the room for 20 more minutes until the receptionist came & took my vitals. I asked him what his position was since he put the heartbeat monitor on my finger backwards & he informed me he was the receptionist & a personal assistant. When I finally saw the doctor, she was pushing me to purchase a genetic testing kit for an extremely high amount of money out of pocket, completely uncovered by insurance. I told her several times I did not want to do that or spend that money. She would not stop insisting on it & finally it got to the point where I was in tears & asked her if she was telling me she could not treat me unless I paid for this elective genetic testing kit out of pocket. The appointment dragged on for another hour as she juggled me & several other patients & I was left sitting in rooms alone for 10-20 minutes at a time. The rooms were piled with boxes, papers & miscellaneous items, complete disarray. i just received a call from the office about my follow up appointment which was scheduled for Wednesday at 6pm. The receptionist/personal assistant got confused yet again & thought it was today. I reminded him he was claiming their systems were down when I was rescheduling the day of my 3 hour appointment & he wrote it in a notebook. He replied that he got confused & yes it was for Wednesday but someone else was scheduled at that time so I should "just show up at 6:30." Needless to say, I cancelled my appointment, will get my medical records & find another doctor. Worst experience of my life.

I do not recommend this doctor. I felt that the office tried to get me to do many tests that have nothing to do with my diagnosis. The blood work that the doctor's assistant did left a purple bruises all over my arm - which never has EVER happened. Equipment was also outdated. I would not recommend.

The doctor is disorganized! She is as the receptionist and doctor. She coyly tries to sell you homeopathic medicine as well as refer you to her friends for "consultations" . According to her you have to spend money on your health (wink wink).

I strongly discourage you from coming here. The wait is always longer than an hour and is typically 2+ hours. I've been here a number of times in the span of a couple months as a blood test snowballed into more testing being ordered by the doctor. Due to constantly running behind, Dr. Babayeva and the man at the desk frequently ask patients who have been waiting in the waiting room to come back on a different day. The man at the desk has on several occasions given a rundown of what every patient is having done out loud (for example, he'll announce to the waiting room, "Ms. Jones is getting her ultrasound next, followed by Mr. Smith getting his shoulder exam, and then you'll have your EKG.") The doctor keeps the door open during exams, and the entire conversation can be heard in the waiting room. There is no bedside manner as she is always in a rush because she is running so far behind. When you come in for a visit, you need to give the doctor a rundown of everything you discussed last and why you're there. Of course, as doctors see many patients, this can be expected to some degree, but I've never had an experience like this with any other doctor. I'm not often compelled to write reviews, but since I've been there so many times recently and seen the same issues arise every time, I want to spare new patients this experience.

I waited 3 hours to see the doctor. When I finally saw the doctor, it felt rushed and she spoke to me with the door open. There was no privacy and the examination room was dirty / uncomfortable. I will not be following up with this physician. I didn't feel has the exam was through. She did not exam anything to me. I'm very disappointed.

Had to wait more than 1 hour and a half to see the doctor and after that we we're always interrupted by the front desk assistance assistant to talk about other patients payments. Making money was their only concern and they were always talking in russian in order for other people not understand. The doctor try to make me schedule another appointment without any need. The front desk people were very unprofessional and kept screaming to the waiting area personal information that they wanted to confirm with me. They only accept cash or check, I had to leave to look for an ATM and come back to pay.
Do not recommend even for the simplest procedures like it was my case.

Since it is her private office, she in the only person doing everything. That includes answering phones, taking blood work, and performing PAP Smears- not a good idea. She was a bit insensitive and she rushed through my visit. It kind of felt like she wasn't even a real doctor. Did she buy her license online?

Her assistant was sick so she was quite behind in appointments.
I left and came back at a later time and was taken care of but did have to wait. I will have to get to know her a bit better to give more feedback. She is better than my last GP who did not even bother to fix the problem for whichi went in to see her .

Worst Doctor I have ever been too! The incompetence level is absolutely ridiculous. The office was dirty and there was no sense of privacy. Other patients could clearly hear the conversations between the receptionist and the patients whom she was taking vitals of as well as the conversations between the patients and the doctors. The receptionist had no idea what to do not even that as a new patient I had to fill out forms or provide my insurance information. After waiting two hours the doctor finally saw me. Asked me about my medical history in what looked like a pantry where everyone could hear the very personal question she was asking. When she was administering the test I went in for , she explained absolutely nothing to me regarding the procedure and how painful it could be. And after it was done she disappeared to see another without telling me anything about when my results would be available. After two weeks I have yet to hear anything about my results and the office can't seem to locate them. The whole experience has been completely unprofessional!! I would never recommend this doctor / office to anyone!

Very unprofessional. I mean she apologized for the wait but that's it really. The medication I was given made me sick. My follow up appointment was cancelled last minute on her end and the lousy staff she had call me about it less than 24 hours before my appointment I may add was rude and hadn't been apologetic or helpful at all really. If I had cancelled last minute I would have been fined. And quite frankly she should be apologizing for the last minute and thanking me for being flexible. Thank god I am not extremely ill. I was extremely unimpressed. It is sad that people in the caring medical profession are so uncaring and unprofessional.

My appt was at 315 I arrived 5 minutes early. I waited til 4 and asked if I can reschedule because I had to work at 5 and I can't be late and I didn't expect it to be this long. She said she'd take me then but then she started asking for my info which took longer then finally I went in the room to get situated. She left for another 10 minutes then finally came back. I was sent there for a biopsy but she couldn't do it because they don't do it there. So basically I wasted my time there. At that point it was past 430 she said she'd call around to find another place to do biopsy. I waited til she was done and the place she called didn't accept my insurance. She just seemed disinterested and had no sense of urgency being that I told her I had to leave and can't be late to work. Not to mention again my wait time

Do not See this Doctor. She pushed for so many exams when all I went in for was a simple physical. I needed a simple physical done for school, and she was pushing an EKG test and in house blood tests on me just to get extra income for extra procedures. She was unfriendly and the nurse there was 10 times worse. Made me so uncomfortable and dealing with the insurance after my visit was a nightmare because because the insurance contested and questioned so much of the exam.

I made an appointment with this doctor because I was experiencing an allergic reaction to insect bites and wanted a consultation, and this office was near my job. The first appointment I made, I had to wait for an hour before tests were administered even though I had the first appointment of the day, and the doctor actually never showed up. I was asked to undress in front of the nurse with the door ajar, and overall the experience was very uncomfortable. I returned later that week to get the results of my test and waited for nearly an hour again before the doctor arrived. Again, I was examined in a room while the door was open, and even though I went for an allergy consultation the doctor asked if I wanted a breast exam and pap smear. I cannot recommend anyone seeing this doctor, as it was truly one of the worst experiences I have ever had.

Unless you have the entire day and I do mean enter day wide open with nothing else planned, then this doctor is for you. I scheduled an appointment via this site at 12pm. When the doorman told me the doctor typically will runs 1 hour to 2 hours late from opening her offices I got a little concerned. The doctors number this site provides is just a call center. They are unable to even contact the doctor to let her know she has patients waiting. Further more they told me the office doesn't even open till 1230pm. Which was news to me since zocdoc offered appointments starting at 10am that day. After sitting in the lobby for over 2 hours she finally arrived. No apology for running late. Nothing. Once in, there was no staff, just her, me, and the pile of people waiting for their appointments. What's worse is that the people waiting all had this happen to them before. The actual appointment was rather quick which was probably the only positive thing about my experience. When it was all said and done a 20 minute doctors check-up took 3+ hours in my day. Never going back, never recommending.

Waited nearly 45 minutes from when I arrived. There was hardly anyone in the office and after that long wait I only saw the doctor for a few minutes. I was told that I would need to come back a few days later to get bloodwork done, because I hadn't fasted that day. (Which I would gladly have done if anyone had communicated to me that I would need to have blood drawn at this appointment.)
A bit disappointed with the overall lack of communication beforehand as well as the long wait and needing to come back again for potentially another wait and another copay.

Although I thought Dr. Babayeva seemed to be a very nice lady I was not pleased with my visit to her office. Firstly, I made an appointment to see her because she was advertised to me by her receptionist as an internist and a Dermatalogist which is false; she is not a Dermatalogist. Secondly, I was uncomfortable having to speak with the Dr. Babayeva in a small doorless room (the size of a closet) next to the waiting room, where everyone was able to hear my private conversation with the doctor. I know this to be factually considering I was able to hear the patients that was before me conversation with the doctor when I was sitting in the waiting area. Lastly, I was very put off when the doctor skipped other patients in front of me although my appointment was before theirs and I arrived at the office before them. Overall I would not go back.

Office staff was very unprofessional. The office was like a messy apartment, with boxes stuffed in the corner, mail unopened, no professional appeal whatso ever. I arrived 25 minutes early, so I don't mind waiting until my appointment time, but my doctor was 15 minutes late. She finally came in,instructed the staff to do something, but neither of them seemed to know what they were doing. They were writing on scratch paper and asking me all the information I've already given them, like my LAST NAME, my FIRST NAME. They sent me down the street to go to an ATM because they didn't take any other form of payment except cash and check. Of course, I could have done this when I came in at 2:35PM for a 3PM appointment, but they asked me to do this around 3:20PM when the doctor finally got in. When I was supposed to get my blood drawn, the staff (I can't even say nurse) was shaky, you can tell she had no idea how to even draw blood as she tried to put the tourniquet on, forgot to sanitize her hands, used dishwashing detergent to wash her hands, took the tourniquet off, opened bandaids, just really random things that made me feel unsafe. I actually told them I didn't want my blood drawn, and I just wanted to see the doctor. They were upset about this, but imagine having someone who has no idea what's going on poke you with a needle, possibly multiple times!
The doctor was OK - it was very apparent she had no concern for me, regardless of how long I've been waiting. I was very impatient at some point because they have you fill out a form and then ask you again the same questions. At one point she told me the efficacy rates were different from one type of medication to another, but she didn't know what the efficacy rates were to begin with. She also got really upset with me regarding my plan choice.
Overall, for the entire time I was interacting with the staff here, my first instinct was simply to bolt. I got what I needed, but not without a lot of frustration. I would not recommend anyone to this office.

There was no receptionist! I arrived early for my appointment and waited 2 hours and a half! My actual check-up was rushed (which was upsetting because I was really concerned about my health. She decided to meet with another doctor whom she was affiliated with, after I already waited for 2 hours and 15 minutes. She did not take my insurance although that’s what was said on Zocdoc.com. Office was very dusty which triggered my allergies) and there was lots of clutter. She did not have one of my appointments in her system and said she only had time for one (which is very upsetting). NEVER AGAIN!!!

Dr. Natela is a good doctor but she definitely doesn't have the staff to handle the demand of visits.
Every patient was frustrated as she was struggling to keep her appts. I waited more than an hour to get in the room with her. Then she asked what problems I had at the reception area in front of other patients waiting.
She might be a really good doctor, but the chaos and disorganized office with papers every where doesn't make me comfortable at all to continue using her.

It was awful. I waited three hours to be seen. Then she forgot to call in my prescriptions and I couldn't get in contact with her because she works every other day. I waited a few days before she finally called them in. I had blood work done and called several times to ask about the results. I assumed they were fine because I hadn't heard from them. And then I got a call yesterday after three weeks saying my results were out of range. This office is terribly run. I am livid. Do not go to see this doctor if you value your time and health.

How was my visit!? I wouldn't know because I'm STILL WAITING AFTER 2 1/2 HOURS! At first I thought it was a fluke Until another patient told me this is the FORTH time she rescheduled because of the same problem. Never in my life, even walk in appts, have I waited this long. Oh look I'm being taken FINALLY! :pause:
Okay I guess waiting 2 1/2 hours was the highlight of my appt because my consultation was all down hill. I just don't understand how I spend time filling out forms on zoc doc to eliminate this wait and YET I spent 26 of my 30 minute consultation being asked all the same questions. But why should I complain, people loving filling out forms, right? Yay! Forms! Joy! Then I get asked if I've always been this pale.... Umm but not in the oh you look sick, but in the oh your white. She was more interested in my background and why I couldn't find a doctor in Brooklyn... The far off land of Brooklyn apparently because her gasp when I said I lived in Brooklyn I might have well said I live in Alaska and journeyed all night to get to her...and wait 2 1/2 hours. I don't even think this review makes sense anymore because i am in a livid rage. But at the end of day I hope you realize that if you go to this office you should leave you patience at home because it will be useless there.
She also took 2 personal calls and didn't know what to prescribe me so she turned to her nifty book of symptoms to figure out what to give me....
