Dr. Joan Ngonack Ngembus is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician providing comprehensive primary care with a strong focus on preventive health, chronic disease management, and whole-person care. She brings more than a decade of clinical experience across Germany, Cameroon, and the United States, giving her a uniquely global and culturally competent approach to medicine.
Dr. Ngembus completed medical training at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany) followed by a rigorous general surgery residency before transitioning to Internal Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University in New York. I literally spent 10 minutes or less with the doctor. I don’t feel the visit was what an annual physical should have been. I work in healthcare and my overall visit was just unpleasant. Not to mention I got blood work and still haven’t received a call back. I’m a diabetic that hasn’t had a physical in over a year and nobody called me back to go over results. As a first time patient, I will not be a returning patient. Horrible experience. I wish I could give 0 stars.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, my wait time was very quick, everything was done in a timely and professional manner. The directives and information was very clear. The doctor listened attentively, gave suggestions, good health care tios and advice and also gave referrals for other concerns that I had. My overall visit was great and I felt very comfortable. I would recommend this office to friends and family. Thanks Dr. Ngembus and staff!

I had the opportunity to visit this doctor’s office for the first time. I arrived on time, completed the required paperwork, and waited about an hour to be seen. The office was very busy and patients were coming in constantly, but what I appreciated was that the waiting room was full of calm, satisfied patients, no one seemed disgruntled, which made the wait easier.
I was first seen by a young resident who was very enthusiastic about his work. The doctor came in shortly after and apologized for the wait. She had an excellent bedside manner, was very direct, and took the time to understand my concerns.
Although the initial treatment didn’t work, I called the next day and she happened to be the on-call doctor. She listened carefully and prescribed a stronger medication. I truly appreciated the quick response and the genuine concern for my health. Overall, the staff worked well together despite how busy they were. I’m looking forward to continuing my care here.

On time appointment, the Doctor and assistants were ALL very helpful and took care of me very carefully. My Doctor was excellent. This was my first visit and you know what they about first impression. I was told to get a half hour early. I waited for an hour and a half. One patient informed me that they were always waiting for appointments and this is normal. Needs to say I not impressed. However the doctor was great. If it happens again I ll be trying to find another doctor.
