About Dr. Nicholas Ferro

Dr. Ferro was born in Indiana and grew up in Anderson and South Bend. He attended Ball State University for his undergraduate education, where he played football for the Cardinals. While completing his degree, he also worked in the ICU at St. John’s Hospital, part of the St. Vincent Health system. He then earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University’s Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. Nick chose St. Vincent’s Podiatry program because of his past work experience with the St. Vincent Health system and its diverse center of education and training. He has a strong interest in foot and ankle surgery, diabetic wound care, and the future of diabetic wound care. In his spare time, Dr. Ferro enjoys spending time with his wife, Lauren, and their children, running half-marathons with his wife, cooking, walking their dog, Rocco, and enjoying quality time at Churchill Downs.
