About Dr. Nicole S Cumella
Dr. Nicole Sangani is a residency-trained optometrist who is passionate about providing exceptional vision care to her patients. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry, where she was recognized for outstanding clinical performance in vision therapy. During her studies, Dr. Sangani completed internships in primary eye care, ocular disease, pediatrics, and vision therapy. She is proficient in all aspects of primary eye care, including spectacle refractions, contact lens fittings, and management of ocular disease. Dr. Sangani also specializes in eye exams for pediatric patients and children with special needs.
After receiving her doctorate, Dr. Sangani completed a residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at SUNY College of Optometry. She has effectively treated a wide range of binocular and eye movement disorders, including strabismus, learning-related vision problems, and visual processing deficits secondary to acquired brain injury. Dr. Sangani has presented academic posters at two national optometric meetings, as well as a COPE-approved lecture on Neuro-optometric Rehabilitation for Acquired Brain Injury. She is also an active member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD).
Dr. Sangani is committed to serving her patients, her community, and underserved populations. She traveled to Lima, Peru, to provide no-cost eye care services to an underprivileged community and has volunteered at various low-income shelters and elementary schools across New York City. In her spare time, Dr. Sangani enjoys traveling, live music, yoga, and spending time with family and friends.

Easy booking experience, friendly staff upon check-in. Doctor saw me quickly, and I was done within 30 minutes, All my questions were answered and had a new prescription and several options for new frames available.

Cannot say enough positive things. They have extended hours (open til 7pm on weeknights), provide a very comprehensive eye exam, have a super attentive and available team, and I really like the selection of frames they have in store. Highly recommend.

With the exception of Rita, who was very polite and professional, the office staff was very frosty and unengaging. When I entered and said "good afternoon", the young lady and gentleman at the desk did not respond. Looking like she didn't want to be there, the young lady asked "how can I help you". If I had not really needed to see the doctor, I would have said no thank you and walked out. This is my second visit to this office in two years in which I have seen two different doctors. Both were excellent and I will come back again because of that. However, concerning the two staff members, brushing up on your customer service skills would be an asset to your office.

I have never had an easier or more pleasant first visit to an eye doctor. There was almost no wait time. Dr. Shrayman (her name is listed differently on Zocdoc, as Cumella) was very efficient and straightforward. You usually ALWAYS hear that you have to get your eyes dialated, but it never came up today. I was in & out in less than 30 minutes with all my questions answered.

The eye exam seemed pretty routine; exams at other offices seemed more indepth than this one. I don't doubt the doctor's finding and shr did a good job explaining her findings. Honestly, what bothered me the most was the eye glass shop. I did not see ant price for defferent types of olens and lens finishing. What bothered me the most was the frames had no prices listed. You had to ask the office for prices.
