Dr. Quinlan completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Utah and fellowship training in Shoulder and Elbow surgery at the University of Washington. He also completed an orthopedic research year at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters, including research focused on rotator cuff disease and shoulder replacement. Dr. Quinlan believes that good orthopedic care starts with understanding each patient's goals and finding the right treatment for that individual. He takes time to listen, explain the diagnosis and treatment options clearly, and help patients understand when surgery may—or may not—be the best choice. His goal is to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care while helping patients return to the activities that are important to them. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Quinlan enjoys spending time outside of work with his wife and their goldendoodle, Luna. He enjoys skiing, cycling, swimming, running, and golfing.
