About Dr. Ojaswita Bastola

Dr. Ojaswita Bastola graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2023. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, with a minor in Psychology, from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Her passion for optometry began in 2016 while working as an optometric technician during college, and she has been dedicated to the field ever since. Dr. Bastola has clinical experience in managing a wide range of ocular conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, dry eye disease, and other anterior and posterior segment pathologies. She also enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses, including toric, monovision, and multifocal lenses, and has a strong interest in myopia control. In addition, Dr. Bastola has experience in advanced dry eye management, including punctal plug insertion. She is particularly passionate about patient education and believes in taking the time to ensure each patient feels informed, comfortable, and confident in their care. Outside of the office, Dr. Bastola enjoys traveling, cooking, exercising, and meditation. She also loves exploring New York City and spending quality time with her family and friends.
