“I have researched high and low for OBGYNs due to my experience in the past. I was looking for a new provider for my yearly well women's exam. Hoping to find a Dr. who will give me clear advice, answer all my questions, and make it a teachable moment when it comes to overall women's health. Dr. Okoronkwo, was absolutely amazing in providing all three and then some! The staff prior to meeting her was also super amazing and efficient. This was my first time ever going through a hospital to do my well women's exam so i was a little anxious. But overall, I love how quick and professional this was over a clinic. I am super grateful that i found my new Dr. , and Dr. for my babies when i am ready to have children. ”

Dr. Remi Okoronkwo was born in London, England. She and her family moved to Tallahassee, Florida when she was 6 years old. Tallahassee became her home for the remainder of her upbringing. She graduated from The Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in chemistry. She earned her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and her Medical Doctorate degree both from The Florida State University College of Medicine. She then completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Louisiana State University (LSU) Health in New Orleans. During her time at LSU Health, she gained a vast experience in managing complex and high risk gynecologic and obstetrical cases.
Dr. Okoronkwo is passionate about patient education to ensure all of her patients are well informed and empowered to advocate for themselves. With her calming presence and excellent bedside manner, she strives to make all of her patients feel at ease. Dr. Okoronkwo and her nurse where both professional and kind. Dr. O listened to everything that I told her and gave suggestions on how to take care of myself. She also ordered screening that I should have now that I am getting older.

I had a great experience from the moment I walked in. Office was clean and smelled good. The staff was friendly. I was seen within 5 mins of arriving. Dr. Okoronkwo was so nice, took time to get to know me, and made me feel comfortable. She was very quick and efficient but still made me feel seen and taken care of. I’ve never had a doctor I have visited more than once in my adult life. I’m looking forward to having a consistent OBGYN I can visit yearly moving forward. I liked Dr. Okoronkwo professionalism, her beside manner given it was my first time visiting her for my well woman exam, and she made me comfortable as she listened to my concerns. I am also looking for a dcctor I can establish a doctor/patient relationship with as oppose to hopping around because my doctor as moved or is no longer in network.
I felt totally comfortable and I will definitely be a returning patient as long as Dr. Okoronkwo is in my insurance network.

My husband and I were truly looking forward to receiving care from Dr. Oluremi Okoronkwo, especially because I’m expecting my third child and wanted to support a young Black doctor. Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing.
When I couldn’t recall the exact date of my last period, Dr. Okoronkwo seemed unwilling to confirm how far along I was in my pregnancy. Rather than showing patience or offering alternatives—as I’ve experienced at other clinics—she was rude, condescending, and acted as though she didn’t want to provide the service at all.
Her bedside manner was cold and unwelcoming, which is especially hard when you’re in such a vulnerable and important stage of life. For comparison, my other children were born at Katy Memorial and I also received care at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, where I was always treated with compassion and professionalism.
I will not be returning to Dr. Okoronkwo’s office and, sadly, cannot recommend her to other expectant mothers.

I normally don’t book late appointments but it wasn’t many appointments within my schedule. Due to my appointment being her last one I felt very rushed , our interaction was very awkward. I had to pull information out of her and ask a lot of questions about my chart. I felt like I was a bother and in her way of going home . It was so rushed I don’t feel like my Pap smear was done correctly, it was so quick. I wasnt even offered a wet wipe after my exam. As a woman with PCOS, I had questions and wanted to use this appointment to get resources on how to properly manage my symptoms etc. Labs weren’t offered, cycle tracking etc nothing. I had to say “can I please get some advice”
It’s been weeks since my appointment and I normally don’t do reviews but I left that office feeling like I wasted my time and I bothered her. My energy definitely wasn’t right in there so unfortunately I will not be returning.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Okoronkwo and was incredibly impressed. From the moment she walked into the room, she made me feel comfortable, heard, and respected. Her bedside manner is warm and reassuring—she really takes the time to listen and explain everything clearly without making you feel rushed.
As someone coming for an annual wellness appointment, I appreciated how thorough and thoughtful she was in her approach. It can be nerve-wracking seeing a new provider and discussing sensitive health topics, but Dr. Okoronkwo made the entire experience feel easy and positive.
I’m so glad I found her, and I will definitely be back for my future care. Highly recommend!

Dr. O is awesome and so is her staff- I felt seen, heard, listened to and understood the entire time, which has not always been the case with other OBGYNs I have seen in the past. The office staff here was so friendly, sensitive, professional yet relaxed and made me feel comfortable and laugh before even getting to the exam room.
