About Dr. Omkar Vaidya
Dr. V completed his medical education at Grant Government Medical College, Mumbai, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. He then obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC), where he also completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. He further trained in Critical Care Medicine and Internal Medicine at UMKC and Truman Medical Center, followed by Nephrology training at UTSW Dallas Texas and Veterans Affairs Dallas North Texas.
In the past, he served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at UMKC and as Teaching Faculty at Kansas City University, SABA Caribbean Medical, and Saint Luke's Health System. There, he taught medical students, in-training physicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners.
Dr. V has served on patient care review committees as an expert and personally advocates for patients first and providers first to ensure the delivery of the best care. He is the founder and CEO of Arena Health, focusing on community care and health enhancement. We do not prescribe pain medication or controlled substances.

I will not be returning. I booked an appointment with Dr Omkar Vaidya and was seen by a NP. April the NP was great, but if I wanted to book an appointment with an NP, I would have booked an appointment with a Nurse Practitioner. Very disappointed to not even be visited for any amount of time by the Dr that I booked an appointment with, and then asked to make that Dr my PCP with my insurance - having never met that Dr. That is unacceptable and I will not be returning. Additionally, Dr Vaidya's office does not have the ability to perform any useful perfunctory services of even the most basic Doctor's offices. They do not have access to any kind of phlebotomist (they send you to Quest - I can do this on my own), they cannot/do not give vaccines (they send you to CVS - I can do this on my own), and everything is farmed out to specialists. I am extremely disappointed that I wasted my time with this visit.

My experience with this clinic was disappointing. I repeatedly asked for my lab order/CPT codes before my annual physical bloodwork — through calls, emails, and follow-ups — but was told everything was “taken care of”, "just few annual physical checks","you can google for CPT codes" etc and that Quest Diagnostics had already received it.
On the day of test, Quest had no record of order from the clinic. I had to spend time at the lab calling the clinic myself, and only then did they finally send the order manually — both to me and to Quest. Because of this last-minute scramble, the billing got messed up, and I ended up with unexpected charges that could have been completely avoided if the clinic had simply provided the order when requested.
I tried to do everything right — verifying details in advance, asking for order, cross checking with insurance, following up. This isn’t just a one-time mistake; it reflects disorganization and mismanagement at the administrative level.

Checking in could have been easier. I filled out documents through Zocdoc beforehand. Then arrived and was told I needed to fill out identical documents, but through their portal on my phone, which was not easy. I would have preferred a paper version. The doctors who then saw me were great but I never saw nor heard from the doctor listed on my appointment. It also seemed strange that for a physical, they didn't take any measurements; they just told me to take a guess.

I went to this office at 8am for a physical and wanted to have blood drawn, but the phlebotomist was not available unfortunately. I also did not meet with the doctor I originally scheduled with. The overall visit went smoothly and quickly, and the physician I did see was very nice. It would have been nice to know the phlebotomist and doctor’s availabilities in advance.

Overall I was very disappointed. I was a bit surprised after my physical ended, as the doctor asked a lot less questions and performed a lot less tests than my previous PCP did. When we over blood results during a different appointment, he seemed like he was in a rush, and didn’t really give me insightful responses, other than stating my tests were normal. I had prepared a few questions on changes from prior results, trends etc, but wasn’t able to get a lot of useful information. If you’re a healthy individual but is looking to understand what steps you can take to further improve your health, this is not your office. Seems that they overworked, so they do the bare minimum in order to see as many patients as possible. Will not be returning.

I'm unsure why this doctor has received such stellar reviews. He seemed nice, but it did not feel particularly genuine. He did not listen well to the things I was trying to explain, he kept cutting me off/interrupting me, and I felt rushed. I was also there for my annual physical and wasn't really examined in a comprehensive way - they didn't even have me change into a gown - a very disappointing experience all around. I did receive referrals for specific concerns, so I'll take what I can get, but I do not imagine coming back to this doctor or office for anything further.

Friendly staff and convenient location. Dr. Omkar was nice, listened carefully and was diligent in taking my history, and making sure the medications were appropriate. I liked his academic approach to diagnosis. Overall, very good first session.
