“I really like the doctor lie. I just didn’t like the nurse that I had when she was asking me questions. She was cutting me off and she kept coming in to my appointment when the doctor was checking on me and I mean in my gown I can tell that the doctor did not like that at all so I would not put that on the doctor at all then as soon as the doctor left, the nurse say I’m so sorry which I really appreciate because I was very irritated about that, but other than that for my first appointment was 100% the best because even after when I need to fill out some paperwork, it was unclear what I was supposed to allow and I have the receptionist. I didn’t really know nothing about the paperwork she kept saying I don’t know so I just had her ask the doctor to check everything. But I didn’t go back to my second appointment and we’ll see how that goes. Other than that, I do recommend the doctor.”

About Dr. Onyekachi Ezeibe
Onyekachi Ezeibe, MD, is a compassionate physician and dedicated advocate for maternal and women’s health, providing expert, personalized care to patients at Capital Women’s Care in Arlington, Virginia. She has a strong clinical focus on benign gynecologic surgery, with particular focus in the management of fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, and ovarian masses, offering thoughtful evaluation and advanced surgical options tailored to each patient’s needs.
Dr. Ezeibe graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Howard University in Washington, DC, and earned a master’s degree in biomedical sciences from Tufts University in Boston, MA. She completed her medical degree at Howard University and her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, where she served as chief resident and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
As the child of Nigerian immigrants, Dr. Ezeibe values cultural competency and multiculturalism in healthcare. Her training emphasized diversity, equity, and representation, shaping her commitment to improving Black maternal health and caring for underserved communities. In addition to comprehensive obstetric care, her clinical interests include contraception counseling, adolescent gynecology.

I scheduled an appointment with Capital Women’s Care thru ZocDoc, prior to my appointment I received many reminders and emails in order to ensure my arrival in the office was orderly. The office was extremely clean and the staff was super friendly. Dr. Ezeibe was very friendly and helpful, and I was in and out the office in no time! I scheduled the appointment and received several reminders leading up to the appointment date. When I arrived, they told me that I should have received an email stating that the time and date I chose for the appointment was unavailable. I never received any emails or phone calls regarding this. I drove 30 minutes from my home for no reason. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and will be scheduling another appointment elsewhere. If there’s no communication regarding appointments, how can I trust that I will receive the best care?

I was a new patient and this was also my first visit to a GYN. I was apprehensive and nervous, and expressed these feelings to Dr. Ezeibe. She was incredibly kind and thoughful throughout the visit- not only taking the time to walk through any concerns I may have, birth control options, and answer general questions, but throughout the visit she announced and explained each step of the exam to ensure that I knew what to expect and why she was doing it. This was incredibly useful at mananging my nerves and helping me to know what to expect. I would highly recommend this provider to anyone and everyone. At no point did I feel my doctor was thinking of other patients or rushing through my appointment. The reception staff and intake nurses were also lovely, and made me feel comfortable throughout the appt.

After receiving confirmation from ZocDoc I drove to my appointment location. Upon arrival the receptionist was rude and instructed me to sit and wait. Then, after verifying my information she informed me that I was not in the system for the appointment and that the doctor wasn't available. She asked if I received a confirmation from the doctor;s office or ZocDoc. After confirming that I received the confirmation from ZocDoc she mentioned that it did not worked that way and ZocDoc confirmed an appointment they did not accept in the system. I requested the possibility of accommodation to be seen by another provider but informed there was no space available currently nor for the following two weeks.
