About Dr. Orestes Alvarez-Jacinto
Dr. Orestes A. Alvarez-Jacinto is a highly experienced OBGYN specialist who has practiced in California, Wisconsin and Florida in a career spanning more than 30 years.
Dr. Alvarez-Jacinto received his medical degree from East Central University School of Medicine in the Dominican Republic. He completed his ob-gyn residency at Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla.
Dr. Alvarez-Jacinto is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is board certified. He holds certification in robotic surgery and enjoys doing minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Alvarez-Jacinto has most recently served as Program Director and Vice Chair of Academics for an OB-GYN Residency Program in California, as well as Medical Student Clerkship Director at Kern Medical. He also worked as medical staff in Wausau and Fond du Lac, WI, and served as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin and as a trainer of physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
He is a recipient of the Mount Sinai Outstanding Resident Award for outstanding knowledge, skill, devotion, and courtesy during four years of resident training, as well as the Aspirus Hero’s Award. Residents have awarded him with the National Faculty Award for excellence in resident education as well as Faculty of the Year award. He is a published researcher and has served on several hospital committees.
He is fluent in English and Spanish and has participated in medical/surgical missions in the Dominican Republic, India and the Philippines.

Dr. Orestes Alvarez-Jacinto was a great listener, he was very polite and helpful. I had a great first visit. Only thing that I did not like was the fact that the other staff members misplaced my urine sample so I have to make another visit just to give another sample. Overall appointment took less than 1 hour & I got all my questions answered.
