About Dr. Osagie Okundaye

Dr. Okundaye is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease. He earned his medical degree and completed his internship at the University of Lagos in Nigeria. He completed his residency and a cardiology fellowship at Columbia University, Harlem Hospital along with a cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann University School of Medicine. Dr. Okundaye’s special interests include cardiac imaging and coronary angiography. He joined WellStar Medical Group, Cardiovascular Medicine in November 2009 and is currently on staff at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. Dr. Okundaye is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Okundaye was fantastic. It was my first cardiology experience but it was great. The doctor listened and explained everything very well. He ordered further testing and gave me several tips for managing my symptoms in the meantime. Highly recommend Dr. Okundaye!
I have just been once to see Dr. Okundaye. I moved from NYC to to GA and the biggest problem I has was to get the doctors I need lined up. Unfortunately I have serious condition with my heart. Most of my doctors in NY have been with me for close to 20 years. My life is on the line in this so I did some serious research looking for my cardiologist. To make a long story short after 2 weeks of seeking and research I found what I was looking for. I made an appointment with Dr.Osagie Okundaye and BAM!!!!! I'm glad I did all this research... he is an excellent doctor but more importantly you can feel his compassion. He has a true desire to help and do his best to make you well. I found someone to whom I will trust my life... so he has got to be GREAT.
