About Dr. Patrick Jean-Pierre
Dr. Patrick Jean-Pierre, MD, is a fellowship-trained Primary Care Sports Medicine physician. He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine and specializes in non-operative sports medicine care. He is able to evaluate, diagnose, and treat various musculoskeletal injuries. Dr. Jean-Pierre is focused on providing patients with an individualized, integrated treatment plan for musculoskeletal injuries-utilizing both traditional Western medicine and, when appropriate, more holistic treatment options.
Dr. Jean-Pierre treats patients of all activity levels; he is a former assistant team physician for high school and Division I college athletes. He worked closely during his fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital under the physicians responsible for the medical care of the NFL's Detroit Lions and MLB's Detroit Tigers. He has a special interest in sports nutrition, the prevention of chronic injuries, exercise programs, and concussion management.
Dr. Jean-Pierre earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, and completed his Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital.

X-rays done on premise, easy models and computer record visuals available to look at with the doctor in the patient room. Nice office staff and easy to get to location . The doctor was more thorough and proactive about my long term care than two previous doctors seems 3 and 5 years ago for other knee issues.

Dr Jean-Pierre is nothing short of tremendous. He cares, he listens, he imparts his knowledge with acute acumen, empathy, and camaraderie. He's wicked smart, and takes the time and care to help you understand what's going on with your body. His staff is attentive and clearly, it's a hard working and positive office. I couldn't recommend a doctor more highly. As someone who is dedicated to denying my age and physical limitations, i'm grateful to have Dr. Jean-Pierre to educate and help patch me up. He's simply the best.

Mixed reaction. The clinic is beautiful, doctor was on time and answered all my questions, didn’t rush me at all. On the other hand, his bedside manner was strange - he kept using works like “obliterated” and “terrible” while also saying this it wasn’t a terrible case. Kept asking me if I was interested in seeing his colleagues upstairs for an injection, and did a sales job trying to pitch me on going there right away. Overall, a mix of a good doctor and a used car salesman. I probably wouldn’t go back, but I can imagine others being fine with his style

Despite the fact that my English isn’t the best or something, he was very patient and carefully listened to me in order to evaluate and diagnose my case correctly.

I was okay with the experience, at first. However, I felt as if nothing was really done. I had no X-ray or MRI done. He told me that the X-ray machine was down (not working) so he searched on his phone for the type of injury he believed I sustained. Then, I was instructed to take 4 pain relievers a day and ice my injury for the next 2-3 days and to contact him the first thing that following week. I reached out and emailed him to follow-up and I have not received a response. Yesterday, June 2 makes it one month that I had my visit with the doctor, and this week will be one month since I sent my email to which I still have not received a response. I waited this long because I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but no one from his company has contacted me to follow-up.
