About Dr. Paul Gruszka
Specializing in the surgical and nonsurgical care of the shoulder, elbow, hand, and knee, including joint replacement, orthopedic trauma, and sports medicine, Dr. Paul Gruszka is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who joined Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute in 1991. To help patients improve their function and quality of life, Dr. Gruszka offers treatment of fractures and sports injuries; joint injections; knee and shoulder surgery, including joint replacement; and elbow and hand surgery, including carpal tunnel release.
After graduating from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, with his undergraduate degree in chemistry, Dr. Gruszka earned his medical degree at The University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois, where he also completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Gruszka enjoys cycling, scuba diving, exploring Chicago, following University of Notre Dame athletics, and spending time with his family.

“Dr. Gruszka has been fantastic! I feel that he knows what he is talking about and he tells you exactly what you need to know. He even had my husband, and I come back in to talk things over with him before making any decisions. I would recommend him to anyone!
