More about Dr. Paul Lee, MD
Dr. Paul S. Lee is a well-respected, clinician, teacher and leader in ophthalmology. He is Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Icahn School of Medicine of Mount Sinai.
Dr. Lee received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, where he studied English Language and Literature and graduated with honors. He continued on to the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine, where he received his medical degree.
Dr. Lee completed his Ophthalmology residency and glaucoma fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. After fellowship, Dr. Lee joined Mt. Sinai’s Department of Ophthalmology to direct glaucoma services at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. After a few years as director of glaucoma, Dr. Lee was promoted to Chief of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Lee has co-authored multiple chapters in major ophthalmology reference textbooks and has an active role in resident education, especially in the surgical education of ophthalmology residents, teaching them the latest techniques in modern cataract and glaucoma surgery. Dr. Lee is the recipient of the Abraham L. Kornzweig Award for Excellence in Resident Education awarded by the graduating class of Ophthalmology residents at Mt. Sinai.
Outside of work, Dr. Lee is busy with his three young children and is currently training for an Olympic distance triathlon. His wife is a Political Affairs Officer at the United Nations and their home is in Larchmont, NY.

I decided to switch from my regular eye doctor of 8 years because visits at his office were going just overboard from 2 to 3 hrs wait until they could see you. Then I found Dr. Lee and decided to give it a try, and was very happy about it. The doctor was great and very professional. The practice is amazing and the staff is very organized and efficient, and I loved that. It only took me an hour to get everything done. Dr. Lee will definitely be my go to doctor for my eye visits/checkups.
