After graduating from Cornell University in 1975 and Northwestern Medical School in 1978, Neal Simkovic practiced in Bradford, Pennsylvania before moving back to the town of his birth. Having serviced the Forest Hills community for the past 25 years, Neal has earned a reputation as a trustworthy and exceptional doctor who goes out of his way to care for his patients and provide them with the best eye care in the Tri-State area. All patients leave feeling loved and cared for as well as knowing they were treated to the best eye care possible.

The doctor is a nice guy and I had an OK exam. That said, most of the other elements of this experience were off. The office is cluttered and in spots, dirty. Patient files are in stacks all over the place. The doctor had BO and this was difficult because he had to get close to me for the exam. An assistant scolded me for touching my eye (it was a routine eye exam - I wasn't contagious with pinkeye or anything.) I am an adult. The doctor wouldn't give me the glasses prescription until I came back for a follow up. I was thoroughly unimpressed by the entire experience and will absolutely not be back.

very convenient location. the doctor and his staff were courteous and answered questions well, even when they seemed fairly busy. Dr Simkovic came off as knowledgeable and caring, and I trust his judgement. he did not rush and listened to my concerns. I will definitely keep him as my opthalmologist.
but all due respect, the office environment itself could use some professional cleaning/organizing help. otherwise it was a good experience!

Unfortunately, while the staff and doctor seem nice, the office is very unprofessional and unkempt. I was seen late for both my initial and follow up appts. The examination equipment is old and dusty and the patient records are right out in the open. Additionally, they hand patients tissues to protect them from germs on the equipment rather than cleaning them between patients.
There is no way I'd go back there- cleanliness is the minimum and that office doesn't meet it.

This was a fantastic experience. The office is nice and small(i like small homey offices)
The staff is so friendly and calm. The doctor is so lovely. Hes incredibly knowledgeable , uses current technology and hes very humble.
He asked me a lot of questions. I didnt feel like just another patient. He also asked me what questions I had for him.
