About Dr. Paul Spring

Born in Vienna, Austria and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Paul Spring received his undergraduate degree in German Literature from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he played intercollegiate ice hockey for the Wolverines. Afterwards, Dr. Spring attended The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH prior to moving to New Orleans in the early 1990s. Dr. Spring completed a one-year internship in General Surgery and a four-year residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans. Following completion, he moved himself and his family to Houston, Texas and completed a two-year fellowship in advanced head and neck cancer surgery at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Spring then rose through the academic ranks as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY and subsequently he attained the position of Associate Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He returned to New Orleans in order to become a contributing member of the Greater New Orleans Otolaryngology community practicing primarily at East Jefferson General Hospital (an LCMC affiliate) and a stand-alone surgery center on Veteran Boulevard, the Advanced Surgery Center of Metairie.
