About Dr. Pavan Mamilla
Dr. Pavan Mamilla is originally from Andhra Pradesh, India. After finishing his medical school at Kakatiya Medical College, he completed his residency at East Tennessee State University.
Over the past ten years, he has served in various roles including Vice Chair, Department of Medicine and Hospitalist Medical Director. As a former assistant professor at UAB, he has extensively trained doctors and medical students. He developed innovative teaching methods and has a special interest in preventive care, procedures and radiology. With his expertise, he is able to offer comprehensive care for both children and adults. Some of the common office procedures include joint injections, skin biopsies, drainage of abscess etc. Dr.Mamilla continues to stay abreast with the latest developments in medicine.
Dr. Mamilla likes to focus on the root cause of the problem, rather than treating symptoms only. He likes to integrate lifestyle changes into the treatment plan and minimize medications whenever possible. Dr.Mamilla provides care for a wide variety of medical problems including Hypertension, Heart conditions, Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Thyroid issues, Chronic Headaches. The clinic offers annual physicals, DOT exams, immigration physicals, sports physicals, EPSDT ( children’s annual physicals),contraception and hormone management.
During his free time, he loves spending time with his two young children and enjoys cooking. Dr. Mamilla is very proud to be joining Metro Medical Associates starting August 1st,2021. Along with his wife Dr Swetha Addagatla, he looks forward to providing comprehensive medical care to your entire family. He is fluent in English, Telugu and Hindi.
