“Dr. Patel is an amazing oculoplastics specialist. She is not only extremely skilled and professional but goes out of her way to provide exceptional care. I had a nasolacrimal obstruction that required a procedure and was referred to NYC from NJ. Dr. Patel able to see me last minute and even extended her office hours while traveling in from another hospital to accommodate me after I had an unexpected schedule change. She is only one of a handful of specialists that can perform the procedure, and I am so blessed to be under her care.”

Dr. Patel is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in eyelid, tear duct system, and orbital (eye socket) problems. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College and completed her ophthalmology residency at New York University, where she served as chief resident. She then completed her fellowship with the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS) at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, Columbia, and Cornell University Medical Center. Dr. Patel focuses on a wide range of ophthalmic issues, including eyelid tumors, styes/chalazion, age-related eyelid changes (droopy eyelids), orbital disease, tearing problems, anophthalmic sockets, and cosmetic eyelid procedures, including botulinum toxin.
