Peter Strassberg, MD, is a detail-oriented and dedicated primary care doctor who obtained his medical degree from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. He completed his internship at Kings County Hospital Center and residency at Maimonides Medical Center. He continued his training by completing a fellowship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Only issue I had was I made the appointment and immediately got a text to check my info and then to do a questionnaire. when I got the office the nurse asked all the same questions. stop making double work for me and a waste of time for your staff. ALSO , 4 texts in 1 day to review my appointment. give me a break.

I’m not really sure the visit I had even counts as a doctors appointment. Besides the bloodwork, I didn’t really get anything out of this appointment. The doctor was dismissive to anything I brought up and his viewpoint towards my health was “you look young and healthy”. No questions were asked about my lifestyle or health habits so I don’t really understand how he has any sort of view on my health. Anything that I brought up was brushed off as “we don’t care about that, that’s fine”. I’m really disappointed in my experience and the fact that this counts as my yearly physical.

My Telehealth appointment was absolutely horrible with the Doctor. He just literally told me during phone consultation that he does not treat what I was talking to him about then just abruptly said “ what else”. It was a very cold and unnecessary way to treat a patient and I felt like he did not care what I had to say at all. I felt rushed, not listened to and judged based on my medication I’m currently taking. I wanted some bloodwork done and his office just kept telling me “ we don’t prescribe what you’re taking here” as if I was looking to score some more meds. Definitely not a good experience at all.

Staff was nice. Dr was very flippant and didn’t seem to do a thorough annual physical because I was 23. I complained about body pains that have lasted over 6 months, was told to stretch even when i said I do, and I’m fine because I’m 23 apparently.

my appointment was for a physical. he only did half of the standard items that should be covered. if he out the effort into my physical that he put into his 4 books on extra terestrials. then hecwould be good.

The overall visit was good. The nurses were nice. The doctor could’ve been a little more attentive in terms of listening. I felt like my visit with the doctor was a little rushed, especially with it being my first visit ever there. I do recall the office being a little backed up that morning from a nurse, so that probably was the reason for that. Still, it’s important not to feel rushed as the patient. The doctor was good, don’t get me wrong, but I shouldn’t have to interrupt the doctor during conversation in order to have my voice heard.

While getting my vitals taken, the nurse was speaking to the nurse in training and said 'now for the depression test' regarding the mental health questionnaire. It gets worse. The doctor then came into the room to show me his book on aliens. I left while waiting for 10 minute for my blood work to be done because I was so uncomfortable. Do NOT go here.

The doc was severely late and had a very laissez faire attitude. I think the doc could’ve been a little more proactive. Asked for a precautionary treatment and the doc acted like it didn’t make sense. Although we didn’t know my exact condition it would not hurt to treat for the basic possible outcome.. otherwise, whats the sense of offering video visits? It was more or less a waste of time. Shouldn’t even really be billed to my insurance.
