Dr. Peter Visendi, OD
As an associate professor and director of the eye clinic of the Tang Medical Center of the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Visendi has focused his teaching on the study of diseases of the eye, both diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Visendi has worked closely with the leading experts at universities throughout the country in visually related learning development as well, through his work at the University of California, Berkeley, over many years (more than he would like to mention). He has authored a book on visually related learning difficulties and is specially in tune with kids’ vision care needs including problems with dyslexia, ADD, ADHD and others. Dr. Visendi has been in practice for over 30 years and doesn’t plan to stop any time soon as he loves what he does and is excited by new discoveries in his practice and the care of his patients. Dr. Visendi also was one of the original pioneers in the development, invention and engineering of the soft contact lens in New York back in the seventies. His recent work has taken him into the area of sub-quantum optics as it applies to recent developments in DNA research and its application to the understanding and treatment of retinal and other disease forms including cancer.
