About Dr. Peter Weber
Dr. Weber served as Chief Medical Officer at Cochlear Americas and was Professor and Director of Otology/Neurotology at University of Massachusetts Medical School. In previous roles, he was head of the Otology-Neurotology Department and Co-Director of the Hearing Implant Program at the Cleveland Clinic. He was also Acting Chairman in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and is past President of the Board of Governors for Otolaryngology.Dr. Weber received BS and MS degrees in engineering from Washington University and his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a fellowship in Neurotology at the University of Iowa, and received an MBA degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Dr. Weber has published over 100 articles in peer reviewed literature, written three books, multiple book chapters and has led several National Institutes of Health sponsored research studies. He also currently serves as editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Otolaryngology. His clinical interests include: surgery for pediatric and adult ear disease including cochlear implants; implantable hearing aids; infectious cholesteatomas; acoustic neuromas; ear tumors; skull bone lesions; facial nerve disorders and vertigo.

Dr. Webber knew exactly what my problem was and gave me a solution right away! He is very knowledgeable, and based on your history, he will give you a proper and thorough diagnosis. His PA was very nice as well; you can tell he is a great mentor to them.

I had an excellent experience with Dr.Webber and his team of PA and audiologist. I had a tinnitus/earache issue that urgent care couldn't solve; and they were able to resolve it for me on the spot; and also got me into the audiologist's office for a hearing test. Everyone were very empathetic and took their time explaining my condition and options.

Doctor was good, however, his residents were doing most of the leg work. I would've liked to have Dr. Peter Weber to actually see me, inspect my symptoms and give me a brief of next steps.
He saw me after the resident did her checks and validations on me. He gave me a list of next steps and solutions. He gave me a chance to ask many questions. He listened well and answered clearly. However, towards the end, he seemed to want to leave as I had many questions and concerns. Nonetheless, he answered 90% of them.
He's clearly a good doctor and knows what he's doing, but perhaps a little more patience and thoughtful advice wouldn't hurt!
He takes a while to answer questions on myChart app, so checking in there after a day or two would be beneficial to help on some questions pertaining some non-urgent medical needs.

I had a very short wait to see the doctor. He was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable. He wanted more information, so he organized an audiology test right there on the spot. The Audiologist was great: patient, friendly, and answered the numerous questions I had for her. I had to wait 20 minutes or so to see Dr. Weber for a follow up of the audiology results. We discussed next steps after he gave me options for treatment. We dicided, together, on a course of injections and he did the first one right away. I was very nervous, but Dr. Weber's calm demeanor and gentl approach made the experience an easy one. It took a while to schedule my next two appointments, but I have to say, I left BU Medical Center relieved, confident in my course of treatment, and glad I selected this facility for my hearing issues.
