“I’ve been seeing Dr G for several months now and I already have noticed a lot of positive changes as a result of the therapy we have been doing. I’ve seen other therapists in the past but none of them have made the same kind of impact as Dr. G. I now have more fulfillment in my relationships with family, at work, and in my ability to treat myself well and make better choices than I did in the past, and a lot of it has to do with the work we have done in therapy. Highly recommended.”

“Dr. G is very practically minded, speaks in a very down-to-Earth way. It did feel like he was giving me a lot of stock advice / putting out generic phrases, which is not to say that they weren't useful, but I wasn't sure if they were really tailored to my situation. He started giving advice right from the first session, which I appreciated for its New York-style efficiency -- getting down to business and talking about actionable steps I could take towards achieving my therapeutic goals. That said, I do think he has a tendency to dominate the conversation, whereas my experience with other therapists has been more that for the first couple of sessions they patiently listen to you and get to know what you're like / what's on your mind, and they usually lead *you* to "discovering" the right approach to thinking about your problems / life, rather than quickly trying to give you tips / exercises. Showing, not telling. Dr. G doesn't give bad advice per se, and he is pretty quick on the uptake when it came to getting verbally caught up on my situation, but I think he could have spent a little more time reading the responses to the questionnaire he sent me before our sessions got underway.”

Getting to know Dr. Philip Glickman

*I DO NOT ACCEPT ANY INSURANCES AT THIS TIME* Hi there! My name is Dr. Glickman, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a passion for helping individuals navigate the challenges of major life changes. With over 10 years of experience, I have seen firsthand the transformative power of therapy and am dedicated to supporting people on their journeys toward growth and healing. I earned my PsyD in Psychology from Hofstra University. Prior to that, I completed a Master's in Forensic Psychology at the City University of New York, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and hold a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland. In my practice, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based methods.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a therapist, I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where my clients can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe that therapy is a powerful tool for personal growth and change, and I am honored to be able to support my clients on their journey towards healing and self-improvement. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing basketball, lifting weights, reading, and meditating. I often incorporate elements of these into my therapy practice.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am also committed to personal growth, and I regularly engage in my own therapy and self-reflection to ensure that I am providing the best care possible to my clients. I am excited to work with you and support you on your journey towards improved mental health and wellbeing. Let's work together to help you achieve your goals and live your best life.

I made an appointment with dr g when I was experiencing anxiety around my work, parents, and an upcoming relocation. Dr G gave me useful techniques I could start using right away and I left feeling hopeful and positive about my outlook.

Dr. Glickman is wonderful. He is very knowledgeable, understanding and provides you with tools/ methods to help overcome whatever trouble it is you’re dealing with. He truly has changed my life, mindset and has taught me how to have a positive outlook on negative situations. I went to see him when my anxiety was at an all time high and since then have learned a lot about myself, others and how to handle situations better. He gives the best advice and is always there to help.
This was one of the single greatest decisions in my life. I’ve never had any mental issues up until the past year, I felt crippled by my anxiety and constant bad thoughts. Dr. Glickman was very understanding and genuine, you knew he was there to help. With his advice I’ve really gotten past so many hurdles I deemed impossible. Great guy!
