About Dr. Philip Griffith
Dr. Philip Griffith grew up in Brandon, South Dakota. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish. He went on to attend Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, Arizona where he received his Doctorate of Optometry.
Dr. Griffith first came to Bowden Eye & Associates during his externship as a student doctor, during which he worked closely with Dr. Robben and the other providers to advance his training in primary care, ocular disease, and surgical co-management. Through his other externships, Dr. Griffith also received extensive training in pediatric care, binocular vision disorders, vision therapy, and contact lenses.
In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, hunting, going to the beach, watching baseball and keeping up with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience visiting Bowden Eye & Associates! The entire eye care team were so kind, patient, helpful, and professional! We both didn’t feel rushed, and the wait times were adequate for the number of patients being seen. The technician (her name started with a C, I believe) that did our various eye exams was amazing with myself, and my daughter! She knew to take things slower for my daughter, because this was only her second time having an eye exam, and we both really appreciated that! Dr. Griffith explained all our results easily, and we understood what was going on with our eyes! Our visit with Hope to pick out our new glasses was fantastic! She has an eye for style, and you can just tell she loves her job! 10/10 all around!

Dr. Griffith was very personable and professional. Although my overall eye health is very good, he did provide excellent guidance and advice on current treatments for hyperopia. We decided on a new prescription eye drop, and he clarified that if I had any questions, concerns, side-effects, or positive feedback, that I can contact him any time.
The staff and assistants at the Northside office were also very friendly, courteous and professional.

I really like seeing Dr. Griffith. He takes time to review test results, discuss options , listens to concerns, and respected what I had to say about my own opinions regarding treatment. He was truthful, yet optimistic, and worked with me to find the best possible solution for my particular eye issues. Highly recommend. The front desk staff are also great to work with -knowledgeable, friendly and quick ! I must mention the techs as well -- everyone I have seen has been wonderful !

Simply wow. Very nice office. Staff were amazingly courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. Dr. Griffith took time to answer all my questions, and was very explanatory. My tech was great and Hope doing fittings is a gem. Best doctors office I've visited. They are a little more pricey but the quality is evident. Very clear of prices before doing anything that may raise my cost.

I went to this office for an annual eye exam and glasses prescription. Unfortunately for me it was not communicate that they were choosing to do a medical evaluation. My vision benefits covers routine exams but not medical evaluations. I am very disappointed to be stuck with charges that I was not anticipating. I did check with my insurance company about this but they could not seem to help me.

The doctor was throughout. I felt he was having everyone make a follow up appointment. I dont even know why I have to ho back, other than he said so. The intake person that took me in the room and did the initial testing was terrible. Nice lady but very unskilled. I was at the office for 2 hours. There is no reason for that. I completed my paperwork with Zocdoc and printed them. The office did not have it and still had to input the data in the computer. Im very disappointed.

The doctor was wonderful and I would recommend him to everyone. He is thorough and will answer any questions. The gentleman who fits for glasses is great at what he does also. The paperwork practices in the office suck! Everything completed is for the protection of the office and I felt like a criminal. The staff wanted to take my picture even though I had already supplied a license and they wanted my social security number even though insurance companies have encouraged discontinued use of that procedure. I refused the picture and am still pissed about them requiring a ss number because it is only to send you to a credit bureau if you don't pay but if there is insurance there is no need for that,

I enjoyed my visit with the doctor. He explained everything to me in detail and took his time answering all of my questions. I was able to get a nice pair of reading glasses to help me with my computer work. Thank god he was so nice and helpful. I'm going to bring my son next.

The office was very nice with great glasses to choose from. The staff was very welcoming & made me feel at ease through to whole process. Dr. Phil was very cool & professional. I recommend him to anyone who wants an excellent eye exam!
