About Dr. Philip Scheets
Dr. Phil knew from a young age that he wanted to be a doctor and was a pre-med student in college—until he realized he didn’t like the sight of blood. After graduation, he worked as a high school teacher and baseball coach and supplemented his income loading trucks.
When he was injured in a forklift accident, he sought care from conventional medical doctors. For eight months, he suffered with debilitating pain and no answers from his doctors except a recommendation for spinal surgery. Out of the blue, he received a call from a local chiropractic office offering a free consultation. With nothing to lose, he gave it a try.

Dr. Scheets is truly the best! He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely takes the time to listen and understand what you’re experiencing. I never feel rushed, and I always feel like my concerns are taken seriously.
What really stands out is how much he cares about his patients and getting them back to feeling and functioning their best. He explains things clearly, answers questions, and makes you feel completely comfortable with your treatment plan.
I’m incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Scheets and Duval Spine & Rehab. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a provider who is experienced, attentive, and truly invested in his patients. Five stars without question!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Phil Scheets for over a year for ongoing lower back, hip, and neck issues related to my military service, and I’ve had an excellent experience with his care.
Dr. Scheets is professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely takes the time to listen and understand what is bothering me before treatment. I never feel rushed, and he does a great job explaining what he is doing and why. His approach has helped me manage my pain and mobility issues, and I appreciate that he tailors treatment to what I need rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
The office is welcoming, appointments are handled efficiently, and I always feel like my concerns are taken seriously. After more than a year as his patient, I can confidently recommend Dr. Scheets to anyone looking for a chiropractor who is experienced, thorough, and truly cares about his patients.
