Verified Patient Reviews
My visit with Dr. Kagan was excellent. She was very professional and everyone in the office was very courteous and professional. Dr. Kagan is very knowledgeable. Her bedside manner is exceptional.
Always great to see her. Answered all my questions and concerns.
She was really great. I felt super comfortable. Looking forward to our next appointment.
She was very nice and professional!
I was nervous at first & really didn’t know what to expect as the reviews weren't so positive. However, the appointment on a whole was indeed pleasant & delightful. The front desk staff was quite professional & the staff once you get called in to see the doctor was great as well. Overall it was s great experience & looking forward to my next visit
Dr. Kagan was empathic and practical. She gave a thorough examination and I intend to go back to her next year.
She was very informative and caring.
I waited over an hour to see doc. Her exam took 55 seconds and talking to her in her office another 37 seconds. Thanks!
I felt comfortable & I am confident that my needs can be met here moving forward.
Dr. Kagan is nice but seems like she just wants to get the appointment done as quickly as possible, she's very hasty. I went to her twice and both times i was seen for maybe 5 minutes. She's extremely brief and wasn't thorough in explaining/educating anything about birth control (this was my first time being prescribed birth control and i did my own research beforehand but she didn't mention anything about side effects, what your body does when you start taking it, etc). She also did a pap smear but didn't explain what it was testing, i don't want to feel like i have to research and google things on my own before/after i get there just to understand what she's doing to me. I want to be told what's going on before i have to a million questions just to understand what she just did. Went back a second time for a possible UTI and asked her if i can get screened for STI/STD's and she said in a surprised tone that she had already done that when i came in for the pap smear a few months ago, even though she never mentioned to me that she was going to screen for any STI/STDs at that time. For the waiting area: the young african american lady at the front desk has the biggest attitude and made me feel bad for even being in the office, not a feeling i want placed on me when i'm nervous being at the gyno in the first place. TLDR: find someone else.
Appt was 545 was only seen at 7:25 PM. Doctor is okay but medical assistants and front desk are rude
It was amazing!! She actually listened to my needs!! Very pleasant!! She was quick my exam..gentle..I would recommend her to everyone!!
She's amazing I love her
She was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. I'll be using her as my permanent obgyn.
Dr. Kagan is great. She was recommended to me and I, in turn, recommend her. She lessens the discomfort associated with such a medical examination. I already booked next year's appointment.
She is a con artist. She told me I needed to get a sonogram before she even did a breast exam. Are you kidding me. Then she billed me for breast pain I don't have breast pain. She is terrible. Her breast exam wasn't even a second long and she told me to do a breast exam every day in the shower. I left her office and went directly to another gyno that my friend uses and told me is very good. And he said my breasts are normal and a sono is not necessary and to do an exam once a month. She is a disgusting person and a terrible doctor. And her staff is absolutely rude and obnoxious. You don't even get greeted with a hello. It's a disgusting practice and I should have known better by reading the reviews but I was in a rush to get an appt. never again
I thought my visit was great! The staff was nice and friendly. My wait time was about 20 minutes 10 of which I spent filling out my paperwork! Dr. Kagan was pleasant and very professional. I will be recommending her to all my co workers and becoming one of her new patients! Thank you Dr. Kagan!
Dr. Kagan is very professional, nice, caring and thorough. I've been a part of this practice for 11 years! She delivered one of my children and I am very happy at this practice.
I had a long wait for a Tuesday at noon but Dr. Kagan was worth the wait. She has excellent bedside manner, answered all of my questions and was very sweet. The staff was also so nice! Would definetly recommend her and I'll be going back.
Dr.Kagan is a wonderful, friendly and informative doctor. Took her time to listen to me and explain options for the large fibroid I have in my uterus.
My visit with Dr. Kagan was only hampered by the fact that someone went into labor right before my visit and had to be admitted to the hospital. This is fairly common in OB/GYN offices. However, her staff kept me informed and when I saw Dr. Kagan, she was professional, yet warm; she was efficient, although I didn't feel rushed out of the office. Overall I would highly recommend her.
The visit with Dr. Kagan was great. The 45 minutes I waited to be seen was not.
This was my first visit with Dr. Kagan. I arrived about 10 min late and knew that it will be while before I would be seen due to paper work that had to be filled out, being that I was a new patient. To my surprise I was seen within 40 mins. The Nurse there was very sweet. Dr. Kagan was busy but still took her time to answer any questions I had. She made me feel very comfortable and she has a wonderful personality. I was very pleased and will refer others and I definitely will return.
Everyone in the office was great
We were discussing a medical procedure that I needed. When I expressed hesitation she she told me ( I am 28 years old, and Latina) "well YOU don't want another kid do you?" I only have 1 child. I am a woman of child bearing age. I think we can all come to a similar conclusion as to why she would assume reproduction from someone like me would be by default unwanted. There was also the other time when I waited over 45 minutes naked from the waist down for a sonogram.
Dr Kagan is such a knowledgeable doctor! It was my first time seeing an OBGYN ever and she made me feel very comfortable. Her medical assistant was very friendly and had great bed side manners. I highly recommend Dr Kagan!
Great appointment! Nice friendly staff
Wonderful doctor. I've never found a Gyno that I actually liked and felt comfortable with until now. Will recommend Kagan to others too.
My visit with Dr. Kagan's office was nothing short of excellent. When I was asked shortly after arrival to complete paperwork I became a bit defensive insisting I completed paperwork via zocdoc. (Not to mention I had my two son's with me who had been previously driving me madly insane as we are in the car and I'm driving to my appointment via the highway mind you and these two are wrestling in the back seat and slap boxing, and just all over the place as boys get for some strange reason...so the last thing on my mind was wanting to complete a stack of paperwork.) HOWEVER, my mood was quickly & pleasantly turned around by Brandy (she has some awesome tattoo's btw very colorful and lovely), whom informed me that the office itself requires a bit more info than what's requested on zocdoc. I am mentioning this in this review because I doubt she knew what was going on inside of me at the time, however the pleasant way she handled the situation totally reset the course of my day in a positive way. So I will say that I give the staff 5 stars because along with Brandy's awesomeness, there was another young lady whom got me settled in and ready for my visit with Dr. Kagan. I must admit I failed to get her name, however she was definitely comforting and warm while at the same time very effective, detailed and on top of her job. With re: to my visit and experience with Dr. Kagan...she is very detailed and thorough. She has a very warm and friendly bed side manner making you feel at home easily in her presence. She is very knowledgeable and detailed in her explanations. She allows you time to express any concerns and then effectively educates you on the difference between medical wants, medical needs, and the reality that exists between the two. Dr. Kagan listens to your concerns and questions in the exam room then examines you, and thereafter, meets with you in her office and during this conference time she makes you feel like much more than just a patient. The atmosphere of her office provides each patient with confidentiality because of the privacy. Additionally, by pulling the relationship between patient and doctor outside of an exam room and placing it into a warm office setting she thus adds an extra level of "I care about you" that's drastically missing between doctors and patients today. So with that being said KUDO'S to Dr. Polina Kagan and her staff they truly ROCK!!!
I love how Dr. Kagan listened to my concerns and actually explained to me why i have my problems & ways to avoid it. Also, when i went to her office to know what medications I needed, she prescribed a certain medication but without me complaining or questioning if my insurance covers it, she just said "nevermind. I'm not going to prescribe this because your insurance most likely would not cover this so I'll find a generic one" which made me completely satisfied because I have never experienced a doctor who was this considerate and caring. I definitely recommend Dr. Kagan to everyone.
Nice office and staff. Dr. Kagan attends to patients without wasting time and gets directly to patients needs!
I chose to see Dr. Kagan because of the good reviews I read about her. I was NOT disappointed. She is approachable. She answered all my questions. She was not in a hurry and took time to make me feel comfortable. She explained things clearly. I would definitely recommend her services.
I had arrived about 25 minutes early - filled out all the new patient paperwork, and ended up waiting just over an hour on top of that. Dr. Kagan was very quick and professional however I felt her response + manner to my questions about treatments alternative to heavy medication were less than polite and rather cold. I left feeling as though she wasn't interested in hearing my questions/concerns. I think it's fair to expect to feel like you aren't being rushed and your questions are listened to with compassion from your doctor. I will probably not visit this office again.
Absolutely satisfied. She was very knowledgeable.
I came into the office for my yearly pap smear and to obtain an RX for birth control. Pretty standard no non-sense apt that is 100% covered by my insurance. Dr. Kagan asked me about my medical history. I learned 10 years ago that I have PCOS and thought I should mention it as part of my history. She didn't offer any RX for it or treat it in anyway. She did give me a phone # to a specialist, but I never bothered because PCOS has never been a big enough issue for me and I don't think they can help me. Shortly after my appointment, I get a bill in the mail for over a hundred because they coded the appointment as PCOS not an annual pap smear. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! I called the office at least 3x and spoke to a wonderful lady on the phone but every time I call and ask to speak to the doc she tells that she's not in the office or on vacation. I refuse to make this payment and I WILL NEVER come back to this office even though I live 3 blocks away and it's super convenient. When I'm family planning I will look elsewhere. I'll be sure to take this up with my insurance company and send a certified letter to the office to make sure they received this message.
I would recommend her to every girl I know. She's exactly what I was looking for and I'm happy I went to her.
Dr. Polina Kagan is an excellent doctor! I love her. She is caring and very professional. I highly recommend her.
She is great!
Definitely would not recommend this MD or practice as a whole. The billing department has sent me to collections several times, when they actually charged me too much and owed me money in the end. There is always a long wait to see the MD and they never return phones with results/answer questions. Was not thrilled with the mannerisms of the MD, or the lack of knowledge of my treatment history with her.
She was a great doctor. Great bedside manner
