About Dr. Poornima Kaul
Poornima practices all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. Poornima grew up in India, and has lived, worked, and trained around the world, including New Zealand, Malaysia, Southeast Asia, and Australia. She speaks Hindi and Spanish. She finished her training in Ob/Gyn at the University of Texas, San Antonio, where she developed extensive experience in high risk obstetrics and vaginal and laparoscopic surgery. When in San Antonio, she received the Gold Foundation Humanitarian and Excellence in Teaching Award as an Outstanding Resident Role Model. Outside the office, she enjoys travel, reading, and spending time with her husband and family.

The nurse Alexis was incredible. She was the first person I saw and she calmed my nerves and made me feel at home. Dr. Kaul was great! She really helped me get certain answers and made me feel comfortable. Transparency was there. I was very happy with my experience.

Today was my first time using ZocDoc and my first experience with Dr. Kaul. Wow, what a great experience! She listened and addressed all of my concerns with care. It was a very professional and overall very good experience. The nurse I saw was also so kind and helpful. She even helped distract me with funny stories while I got a little shot because she knew I was nervous. Would highly recommend Dr. Kaul and this office!

If you're looking for a gyn that is really wonderful when you see her but not looking for any follow up and the worst response times ever she is for you. If you happen to need her to clarify lab reports or call you back if you have a question be prepared to wait a few weeks or be put off to a nurse or admin who might give you a call back after a few days. She shouldn't be taking on new patients. She doesn't even have time to call back.

Dr. Kaul is fantastic! The office is very busy so it was about a half hour before I was seen, but totally worth the wait. Dr. Kaul is incredibly kind- she made what can be a stressful appointment feel 1000 times easier. She is professional, thorough, and made me feel heard and taken care of. I would highly, highly, highly recommend her if you're looking for a great GYN!
