About Dr. Prashanti Logeswaran
Prashanti Logeswaran, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is committed to the highest quality of care in all aspects of women’s health. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, Queens, New York with an Outstanding Resident Award for best clinical skills and compassionate care for patients.
Dr. Logeswaran earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Essen School of Medicine in Germany. Her training in the Cellitinnen Hospital in Germany allowed her to better understand the needs of patients from various cultures and different ethnic backgrounds. She also received an Award for excellence in the teaching and clinical practice of obstetrics and gynecology by nursing and midwife students.
Dr. Logeswaran loves all aspects of her specialty, but has chosen to focus on gynecologic surgery. During her residency she learned advanced laparoscopy and robotic surgery and provides these minimally invasive options to her patients who need surgery.
In addition to her residency program, Dr. Logeswaran was a Research Fellow at Boston Medical Center for advanced research.
She enjoys long distance running and competed in New York marathon twice. She lives with her husband and a daughter in St. Petersburg.

I can not say anything about the practitioner because someone in her office canceled my appointment and gave it to someone else without notifying me. I showed up for the appointment that had been confirmed twice. Once 3 hours before the appointment. I have found this to be common practice among some of the BayCare offices. Extremely disappointing.

I recently moved and needed a new GYN provider. A co-worker recommended the office but her provider was booked very far out. I took the next availability for a new patient.Everyone at the office was friendly and helpful. I was brought into a room quickly and a medical assistant, Deborah, reviewed my history. She was friendly and great and then I did not have to wait more than a few minutes to see Dr Logeswaran who was thorough, caring and gentle! I would recommend the office and Dr Logeswaran very highly.
