Not stopping there, she pursued and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Care Administration at Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio. Her medical degree was conferred by the American University of the Caribbean, after which she completed an internship in Transitional Year in Medicine at Kendall Regional Medical Center in Florida. Recently, Dr. Patel has completed her Psychiatry Residency Training at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. Dr. Patel describes herself as compassionate, driven, perseverant, and easy to get along with – traits that greatly benefit her in her professional role. She was initially drawn to psychiatry during her undergraduate psychology classes and under the influence of her father’s career in the same field. These experiences shaped her understanding and approach to mental health. In her practice, Dr. Patel is dedicated to building long-term therapeutic relationships with her clients, ensuring they feel heard and understood.
