The office staff came in to apologize about “the wait” but I didn’t feel I was waiting long at all (15 minutes max). She was very rude and made me uncomfortable. She wasn’t really listening to my experiences, more so projecting her opinion onto me. It probably was one of the worse experiences I’ve had with a doctor on top of the fact that she was late which I didn’t make a big deal out of. She was just judgmental & her tone was just awful.

I’m so disappointed by the visit I had overall and wished i had taken a moment to review the other negative reviews. While Dr. Villenuava is knowledgeable and had moments of kindness, the overall appointment was unsettling. I felt judgement and a condescending tone when bringing up concerns (concerns I’m well versed in since they pertain to a chronic disease I’ve had and seen other doctors for), and overall felt dismissed instead of reassured. I wouldn’t come back here solely because of her bedside manner.

What went well:
Front desk staff was very friendly.
Dr. V seems very knowledgeable and explained things clearly.
I didn’t feel like the appointment was being rushed
What didn’t go well:
The office overall can be a lot cleaner.
When speaking to Dr. V regarding family planning and a medication that I am currently taking that isn’t recommended during pregnancy, she abruptly cut me off as I tried to further explain. Before I could finish speaking, she stated “you taking prenatal vitamins is irrelevant to anything…” The tone was quite rude, dismissive, and off putting.
While I am spread eagle on the table, Dr. V walks in with another person who I assume was a PCA or RN without any introduction to this person whom I have never met, who now has a full view of my vagina. This was totally unacceptable.
I didn’t mention this to Dr. V but I am a resident physician graduating in 4 months. Not that that should make a difference in how I am treated. I was overall disappointed in this experience

I came in as a new patient for my annual check up. The medical staff were very friendly and respectful. Though I have read unfavorable reviews, I came with an open mine and no expectations. Dr. V was very friendly but straight forward. Some might think it's too blunt, but I do appreciate her candor and professionalism. I plan to continue seeing Dr. V for my gynecological health concerns.

I have never had a more hostile doctors experience than my visit with Dr Villanueva. She was incredibly condescending and critical when reviewing my medical history and made me feel uncomfortable the entire time. There were also no open, productive conversations when discussing my current medications. She presented her judgements without reasoning and, when I asked followed up questions, did not offer any alternatives. I felt small the entire appointment.
I will never return for another appointment and will never recommend her to others.

Had a first-time emergency visit with Dr. Villanueva. I walked in a bit anxious and nervous but felt a lot better after interacting with the intake staff. They made me feel welcomed and assured me that I’m in the right space.
Little to no wait time, and urine sample taken nearly immediately. They are considerate of people’s time here and it shows! I walked out feeling empowered and really heard and seen by my new provider. Grateful!

When I met with the doctor, she listened to what my concerns were and even gave a great recommendation for a specialist; taking into account the type of person that would relate to me personally. I came in with a couple of very specific, not unusual questions about my reproductive health and monthly cycle. Rather than asking thorough, open ended questions upfront, I felt lectured and that my POV was not valid or correct. I felt like I was debating with the doctor rather than the doctor asking thoughtful questions so they could gain appropriate and properly discuss my questions.

The whole staff at this office were super kind, communicative, and made me feel so comfortable with all my questions. Dr. Villanueva made me feel so at ease, like I was talking to a friend. I am 25 years old and this was my first OBGYN appointment ever. I’ve been having blood related issues and my doctors suggested I see a GYN. Going to see a gynecologist is very intimidating and this doctor made me feel weird about myself during the whole appointment, acted like my concerns weren’t serious. I was rushed most of the time. She treated me like I am the expert in Gynecology, as if I should know what is wrong with myself. It felt quite uncomfortable and I don’t want to go to see a specialist until I feel comfortable again.

I’ve had plenty of GYN appointments in my life, many of them not ideal but this ranks as one of the worse. The staff and office were fine but Dr. Villanueva was awful. She dismissed my concerns, I regretted bringing them up. She made it feel like an interrogation in her office during the initial consultation. I was sweating, that’s how uneasy she made me. She’s not kind or caring enough for the field she’s in. I never ever want to be under the care of someone like that. It was a terrible experience.

This practice is unorganized, and the doctor needs to improve her bedside manner. I was seen by this physician before, but there was no files on my past visits. She was unaware of the reason for my visit. She also did not have access to the tools needed to complete my appointment. This visit ended up being a waste of time because there was no communication between the administrative staff and the doctor. She was also very rude to me and her staff. Instead of taking accountability for the misunderstanding she placed the blame on her staff. Her energy was very heavy and raw and I do not want that anywhere near my womb. I also do not want a medical provider who is unable to keep up with the status of her patients.

I’ve never had a doctor treat my questions in a condescending, irritated manner - and they were valid questions and concerns. She gave curt responses instead of giving the opportunity to teach which to me belies a lack of knowledge, or a lack of desire to address my concerns. I would not recommend her.

I was super disappointed and upset by my appointment with Dr. Villanueva. She began the appointment by being 20-30 minutes late (which is typical for appts so I expected) but when she arrived she was very clearly in a bad mood and was very rude and offputting from the get-go. She immediately dismissed my concerns and invalidated all of my feelings and experiences. Overall there was nothing resolved in the appointment and I am left with nothing but a copay and a need to book an appointment with a new doctor. Do not recommend - save yourself the mental and physical energy and find someone else!!

Doctor made me feel uncomfortable with her reactions to my concerns and responses to her questions. She asked questions and reacted with judgment, she was more invested in passing judgement on my choices than on treating me as a human. Would not recommend to people of color, would not recommend to any woman at all.
