Dr. Rachelle Hansen grew up in the Syracuse, New York area and completed her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology at SUNY Oswego. She attended Yeshiva University to complete a Master's of Social Work (MSW) in clinical social work while training in hospital settings and in home service settings. Thesis: "The Clinical Impact on Children who Witness Domestic Violence" Obtaining licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Hawaii; Dr Hansen was able to practice independently while working to obtain a Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) in clinical psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology- Honolulu campus. Dissertation: "The Identification of Trauma Exposure in Incarcerated Adolescent Males". Dr. Hansen has worked with a diversity of ages groups and populations including military families, foster/ adoptive families, refugee children and families in rural areas. Dr. Hansen has experience in disability assessments for Veterans and state programs. Dr. Hansen enjoys working with teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression and life transitions.
