Getting to know Dr. Reina Remigio
Over the last 15 years, I have had the honor and privilege of helping, partnering with, and empowering individuals, couples, and families to make meaningful changes that allow for greater authenticity, connection, and effectiveness in their lives.
I specialize in working with folx struggling with the following issues:
* Chronic depression and/or anxiety
* Restrictive eating issues
* Social and emotional loneliness and/or isolation
* Personality and coping styles related to the following personality disorders – Obsessive Compulsive, Avoidant, Paranoid, Dependent, and Schizoid
* Overcontrolled coping styles that get in the way of meaningful connection and valued goals (e.g., hyperperfectionism, excessive self-control, chronic people-pleasing, rigidity)
* Trauma (relational and/or specific events), as well as grief and loss for those with overcontrolled-leaning coping styles
I offer individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
(I also offer family reunification therapy and related services with Sage Family Reunification.)
My approach to therapy is collaborative, culturally responsive, trauma-informed and trauma-sensitive, and integrates evidence-based strategies that support creating and sustaining an effective, authentic, meaningful, and connected life.
I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Sofia University and a Certificate in Creative Expression from the same institution, which enrich my therapeutic work by integrating creativity and depth into the healing process.

Working with Reina has forever changed me. She is an incredible therapist who deeply cares and has enriched my capacity to care for myself, those closest to me and my community in the biggest sense. She is so skilled and beyond standard of care in her field, but I think it is actually a combination of extensive training and just who she is as a person that is so therapeutic. She is very present in our work together which inspires me to sustain progress on my path. In Reina, I feel like I have a true ally in healing. She is really kind and maybe the least judgmental human I've encountered. And she is really funny! Reina has helped me have faith in myself and I feel so grateful to work with her!
