What should a new client know about working with you?

I promise to listen nonjudgmentally and provide a safe space for you to process your thoughts and feelings. I take the time to really understand your experience. Past clients have said they appreciate my authenticity and approach to gently challenging their thoughts and assumptions. I believe the therapy relationship is unique in how it can be nurturing and transformative. The work we do together won’t necessarily be easy, but you won’t be doing it alone until you’re ready. I want you to get to the point where you no longer feel you need me whether it’s been 3 weeks or over a year. Bonus: Sometimes I bring my French bulldog to assist in sessions. Please Note: Northside Clinical Psychologists is not accepting new clients with court ordered evaluations or interventions at this time

What is your typical process for working with clients?

All first sessions are conducted via Telehealth. Ongoing sessions may be booked in-person. For individual clients, our first session is a diagnostic/evaluation where we meet for 90 minutes. This allows me too conduct a thorough history and provide a tentative treatment plan. Often this includes some psychoeducation about different treatment approaches. Sessions following the initial evaluation are usually the standard 53 minutes. For couples and families, all sessions are 90 minutes.
