About Dr. Reza Mehrazin

He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of the Americas (Nevis), completed an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Urology at the University of Tennessee, and pursued a two-year Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) accredited fellowship in Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery at the highly prestigious National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Fox Chase Cancer Center. Dr. Mehrazin's clinical expertise includes robotic surgery, laparoscopic, and open surgical techniques for treating various urologic cancers, enabling him to tailor specific treatment plans based on individual patient needs and preferences. He is one of the few urologists in the region with extensive training and certification in minimally invasive organ-preserving and reconstructive techniques designed to preserve function and quality of life for patients with urologic malignancies. His surgical repertoire includes robotic (using da Vinci technology) and open cystectomies with continent urinary diversion (new bladder), nephron-sparing partial nephrectomy, nerve-sparing prostatectomy, partial or total adrenalectomy, retroperitoneal lymph node dissection for testicular cancer, and endoscopic nephron-sparing management of upper tract urothelial carcinomas. Dr. Mehrazin has authored and co-authored over 200 scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and textbook chapters.
