About Dr. Richard Francesco

Dr. Richard Francesco is a primary care sports medicine physician originally from the Philadelphia region. He did his undergraduate work at Saint Joseph’s University, followed by graduate and medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Francesco completed residency training in family medicine at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in rural Kentucky. It was there he found his passion in working with athletes of all ages and decided to further his medical training by pursuing a fellowship in sports medicine with Albany Medical Center in upstate New York. He has worked as a team physician for multiple colleges including Lindsey Wilson College, Siena College and The University of Albany. Dr. Francesco currently participates as a ringside physician covering boxing and mixed martial arts with the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission. Dr. Francesco strives to treat every patient as a person and not a number. He believes direct primary care serves this goal best as it allows him to provide full spectrum medical care to his patients without access limitations or time constraints. When not seeing patients, Dr. Francesco enjoys snowboarding, playing guitar and spending time with friends, family, and girlfriend. Core Family Practice is a Direct Primary Care Practice which is an innovative, common-sense model aiming to take medicine back to its roots. We take insurance companies and bureaucracy out of the doctor/patient relationship by not requiring or billing health insurance of any kind. Instead, we work directly for our patients through a simple monthly membership Because of this we are able to provide a more personalized and accessible approach to healthcare. Monthly Membership Pricing: Individuals - $80/mo Individuals 25 or younger - $65/mo Couple - $150/mo Family of 4 - $200/mo One time, per household $65 Registration Fee
