He was born in Winnemucca and still has relatives throughout the state. Dr. Gardner attained his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, then went on to receive his podiatric education at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He then completed a three-year residency in Los Angeles, California, where he gained clinical and surgical experience in multiple settings, including veteran, county, and Kaiser hospitals. Dr. Gardner specializes in the treatment of diabetic foot care, trauma, bunions, hammertoes, and heel pain. He has a special interest in limb salvage and the management of diabetic and venous wounds. “I take great satisfaction in assisting patients on their journey of healing,” said Dr. Gardner. He is board certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery® and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys following many college teams but will always have a special place for BYU football, his alma mater. He also plays racquetball at a competitive level. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
