Dr. Robert Campbell, PsyD

Psychologist
525 S 4th St, Ste 471, Philadelphia, PA
I tend to view psychotherapy as relatively similar to physical therapy. You may come in with a few minor aches and pains or maybe you've come in with a major injury and are unable to function. My role is not just to ease your pain but to work with you gradually to get back on your feet and on your way to becoming your best self. Therapy can be a big step not only toward healing pains in your past but also to gaining insight into yourself and how you interact with others. I hope to help you achieve that insight through a collaborative therapeutic relationship. You are the expert in your own experience! I tend to use what's called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as various parts of other modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have worked with a diverse range of people, from ages 18 to 70+. I also pride myself on serving minority populations, including BIPOC individuals experiencing difficulties with racial trauma over the past few years. Additionally, I have previous involvement in specialized care for people who have endured complex trauma, our brave veterans who have served the country, as well as emerging adults in a college setting (ages 18-29). I work with clients who are experiencing the following concerns (including but not limited to). I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to provide compassionate and effective care.
