About Dr. Robert Durocher

Dr. Robert Durocher is a committed optometrist and the nephew of OPMT Vision Centers’ founder, Dr. Richard Durocher. He has followed in his uncle’s footsteps by providing exceptional eye care services, like comprehensive eye exams, contact lens exams and fittings, and eye disease diagnosis and management, to patients of all ages. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cumberland University, Dr. Robert Durocher was driven to the optometric field because of his fascination with how the eyes work and desire to help people see better every day. This dedication led him to achieve his Doctor of Optometry from the Kentucky College of Optometry at the University of Pikesville. His background as a nurse gives him a unique perspective and allows him to consider the full body health of each patient he serves. Born in Nashville, and raised in Lebanon, he has lived all throughout the south during his life and education. He is now settled in Old Hickory with his wife, Jasmine, and their two cats, Pekka and Lulu. When he’s not treating his patients, Dr. Robert Durocher enjoys golfing, cooking, watching television and movies, and rooting for his favorite hockey team — the Nashville Predators — as they take the ice.
